Congratulations to KI’s Jessica Stark for winning the V Scholar Award! The V Foundation's A Grant of Her Own: The Women Scientists Innovation Award for Cancer Research, is aimed at supporting #WomenInScience by addressing longstanding gender disparities in research. Jacks Lab alum Rodrigo Romero presented his work on lineage plasticity in the tumor microenvironment at the 2024 Catalyst Symposium hosted by the MIT Department of Biology and the The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. Instead of decoding T-cell-antigen interactions on an example-by-example basis, Michael Birnbaum is building tools that could allow researchers to understand the entirety of this process in fine detail. We're excited to watch the development of all of this incredible cancer research, especially from MIT Jameel Clinic - AI & Health AI faculty lead Regina Barzilay and Tyler Jacks, PhD of the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.
