Here’s just a small selection of what we have tackled in these recent weeks: 💼 Hosted U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen for a discussion with metro Atlanta business leaders. 🌷 Welcomed the King and Queen of the Netherlands as they visited Atlanta as the first stop of their U.S. tour and hosted a CEO roundtable for a discussion about Dutch business in Georgia. 🏙 Dug into our Downtown Reimagined initiative and launched a video series and newsletter to complement the ongoing work on Downtown Atlanta’s evolution. 🛩 Marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a visit to Normandy and called on companies in France. ⚽ Started an official countdown for the FIFA World Cup 2026 (704 days and counting!) 📽 Congratulated Grant Wainscott for being named one of the 200 Most Influential of Georgia’s Creative Industries! 😎 Spread the word about metro Atlanta’s business opportunities at amazing shows and conferences with friends and partners from around the world like RenderATL (Render Atlanta), SelectUSA, and #BIO2024. ⚽ Welcomed Argentine Ambassador Dr. Gerardo Werthein and President of Canada Soccer, Peter Augruso, to celebrate the opening match of Copa America 2024 and discuss soccer as a tool of diplomacy and business - and to showcase ATL’s steady growth as center of gravity for soccer.
