About us
For over 70 years, the staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center have worked to provide the local area with excellent health care services. Based in Jasper, Indiana, and sponsored by the Little Company of Mary Sisters-USA, Memorial Hospital has grown to include more than 30 specialties with approximately 250 physicians and advanced practice providers in 33 health care offices in seven counties. Memorial Hospital employs more than 1,800 people and provides medical care for approximately 6,600 inpatients, 250,000 outpatients, and 29,000 emergency department visits annually. Nearly 950 babies are born at Memorial Hospital each year. Memorial Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services in a 128-bed facility. The hospital, located on 15 acres between 9th Street and 13th Street in Jasper, has nearly 500,000 square feet under roof including a five-story medical facility, the seven-level Little Company of Mary Tower, a medical arts building, and several other office buildings. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has recently earned the following national recognition: • Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from 2008-2022 • Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital in 2022 • Excellence in Infant and Maternal Health by the Indiana Hospital Association • Magnet® Recognition in 2020 by The American Nurses Credentialing Center • Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Recipient in 2018 by the National Institute of Standards and Technology

Our Nursing Practice Council showered our techs and nursing assistants with lunch, games, and gifts during their inservice days to say "thank you" for all they do and to celebrate National Nursing Assistants Week. We an incredible group we have who are dedicated to caring for our patients and for each other!

During "National Speech-Language-Hearing Month", we recognize our audiology and speech staff. Audiology provides: • Hearing testing • Hearing aids in various styles and ranges in technology and hearing aid fittings • Custom earpieces for hearing and water protection • Personal listening devices Speech Therapy provides treatment for speech and language, swallowing and cognitive disorders. As the future evolves, laboratory professionals remain resilient in the face of continually emerging public health threats, respond with poise, and demonstrate versatility as its role in diagnostic testing continues to expand. Lab Week is a reminder of the essential role of laboratorians in ensuring timely and accurate test results for patient safety, thereby improving patient outcomes. Our Laboratory celebrated this week with food, games and opportunities to know and celebrate each other. Thanks to all our caregivers in Lab for the important work you do every day!
