Congratulations to the winners of this year’s EY Open Science Data Challenge! Over 11,000 registrants from 119 countries developed answers for how to use data and predictive models to assess storm damage and support disaster response in data-poor communities. As part of this challenge run by EY, participants used our satellite imagery and Microsoft’s Planetary Computer. The two winning teams were recognized at the IGARSS conference in Greece this week: Hurricane Tech Pioneers (Malaysia): Sylvia Moey and Francis Chong Ngai Sang Lau (University of Hong Kong): Ngai Sang Laung, King Hin Sin and Ka Fai Chan Congratulations to these impressive data enthusiasts for their contributions in helping communities build a more stable and sustainable future. The Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium was developed specifically to host canoe slalom, canoe sprint and rowing events. The Tour de France commenced June 29 in Florence, Italy, and competing cyclists will cross the finish line in Nice, France, July 21.
