Thank you Insight Publications for the great article! ❤️🧀
This year, Masters Gallery Foods, Inc. is celebrating 50 years of business in Plymouth, the Cheese Capital of the World. Jeff Gentine, second-generation president and CEO of the national cheese supplier, says two cornerstones — the right people and the right cheese — have been the foundation of Masters Gallery’s five decades of growth. “Quality is something every company says they have, but there aren’t many like Masters that exude quality, with the bonafides to back it up,” he says. “We aren’t cheesemakers, yet we have a Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker on staff to work with our suppliers — like a tenured professor with a Ph.D. in cheese. Along with all our cheese graders, lab personnel and on-floor QA techs, that’s a major investment in cheese quality, but it’s who we are.” Read more in the June issue, available now: https://loom.ly/gq2JfbQ

This is just the beginning...
Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association held its first-ever materiality assessment workshop this week, with participants from Associated Milk Producers Inc., BelGioioso Cheese Inc., Burnett Dairy Cooperative, California Dairies, Inc., Cheese Merchants, Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, Foremost Farms USA, Kingston Cheese Coop, Masters Gallery Foods, Inc., Meister Cheese Co., Select Milk Producers, United Dairymen of Arizona, Uplands Cheese Inc, and Wapsie Valley Creamery. The past couple of days were full of learning - and laughter - and we thank our partners from HARBOR ENVIRONMENTAL, INC., Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, and the sponsorship from the Dairy Business Innovation Alliance for making this experience and the next six months of execution possible. I also need to thank my dear friend and colleague, Danica Nilsestuen, for her dedication to the development and coordination of this new educational offering. I am so grateful to work alongside her, and hope everyone sees - like I do - what a great resource and champion she is for dairy processors.

The MGF Gives Back Committee recently met with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin one of our 2024 non-profit, partner organizations. Make-A-Wish was selected by the employees during our annual giving campaign as an organization they would like to work with this year. Through the initial campaign, more than $24,000 was raised by our amazing employees! ❤️💛 Throughout the upcoming year, volunteer opportunities and collections will be organized for employees to participate in to further help Make-A-Wish Wisconsin grant wishes to children with critical illnesses. #therightpeoplemakeallthedifference #mgfgivesback #mastersgallerycelebrating50years

Last week, 11 companies from Food Export Midwest and Northeast participated in a focused trade mission to Guatemala City, Guatemala! Included in that group were six Wisconsin companies, including La Crosse Distilling, Hollander Chocolate Co., Masters Gallery Foods, Inc., Tropical Foods LLC, Grande Cheese, and Old Fashioned Cheese. Staff from DATCP’s International Agribusiness Center served as activity coordinator for this mission, which included an in-market briefing from the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, a buyer reception, retail store tours, and one-to-one meetings with buyers and distributors in an effort to increase trade opportunities in the region.
