We are so excited to welcome our 2024 Youth Violence Prevention Fellows! Over the next few weeks, the fellows will hear from community leaders and elected officials about ongoing efforts to reduce youth violence and offer their own solutions. Their contributions will create a lasting impact on public safety moving forward.

A bit late with this post, but sharing nevertheless. (That’s typically what happens when it’s summer, and you work in Community Outreach. ☺️) Members of the Marion County Prosecutor's Office had a great time celebrating community leaders during the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and the Indiana Black Expo, Inc.’s Governor Reception last month. Congratulations to all the award winners! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this celebration. 🎉

In June, our Second Chance Workshop was able to help nearly 500 Marion County residents with driver's license reinstatement and record expungement services. We are grateful to all of our partners and volunteers, without whom we could not have accomplished our goal of helping our neighbors. For more information about our Second Chance Workshops, visit https://www.indy.gov./activity/second-chance-workshops

Today, our office was visited by Cheese and Thank You, a non-profit food truck in which food is prepared, served, and marketed by young adults with disabilities. MCPO staff got to enjoy great food for a great cause. Come back soon New Hope of Indiana!

Yesterday, we held our 4th Annual Youth Basketball Clinics at the Friendship Westside Center for Excellence. Our goal is to continue creating opportunities for our youth to have fun in safe environments by offering different activities such as basketball. Thank you to the coaches and volunteers who made this event possible!
