Mannington Mills...The Company You Keep.

About us

Mannington Mills was founded in Salem, New Jersey in 1915, by John Boston Campbell who came from Scotland and found happiness in the business of making flooring with his two sons, Neil and Kenneth. Still privately held and owned by the Campbell family, Mannington is now one of the world’s leading makers of residential and commercial fine flooring with locations across the U.S. and in the U.K. (under the Amtico brand). And though we’ve evolved and grown throughout the years, our commitment to our craft has never changed. Mannington Mills' family of companies and brands includes Mannington Residential, Mannington Commercial, Amtico, Phenix Flooring, and Burke Flooring, and is home to a vibrant, creative group of thinkers, innovators and go-getters who design and manufacture gorgeous floors with superior performance and durability. Our long-standing company values include “Care” and “Do the Right Thing.” These values play into everything we do when it comes to how we interact with one another, our customers, our families and the communities in which we are located. Perhaps that’s why so many Mannington associates have turned their jobs into careers that have spanned decades. Where you choose to work matters. That’s why we’re dedicated to making Mannington…the company you keep.

One way we put Mannington Mills’ “Care” core value into practice is by taking time to learn about our colleagues. We asked Jason Hair, Vice President of Sales—Strategic Accounts to share some things about himself. Here’s what he said… •First job, and what you learned?  As a territory manager for Beaulieu. I couldn’t believe they paid me to do that job. I loved it. I knew then I wanted to be in sales for the rest of my working life. •Most important life lesson you learned growing up?   Treat everyone the same way you want to be treated. •Favorite sports team?   The Braves. I grew up around Atlanta sports and every night the Braves were on TV, we would watch them as a family. •Talent you have that others may not know about?   I coach high school football when I’m not traveling. •What’s the coolest thing about your pet? Duke, my Golden Retriever, thinks he is one of the kids (with apologies to my son, Thomas!). •Weekends find you…  Fishing on the lake I live on. •What you like most about your job?  The people—the people I work with, and our customers. I’ve had friends from this industry for 30 years. I believe that it’s the people who makes our industry one of the greatest. •What do you love most about working at Mannington (other than the people)?   Our core values. They are the barometer that guides our company. •”Truth” you live by at work and home?   Do what is right, even when it hurts. #Flooring #GreatAssociates #CoreValues #CompanyYouKeep

We are proud to partner with Feeding America, the largest food relief organization in the U.S., to help people in our communities who are experiencing hunger. Did you know that Feeding America provides food to your neighbors in need through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,00 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs? In Gordon County, GA, where our Calhoun site is located, we see first-hand the good work they do at locations like Race Church, Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church, First Apostolic Ministries, First Fruits Ministry of Northwest Georgia, Hand-Up, Inc (Voluntary Action Center), and St. Vincent De Paul. We support the work of Feeding America® through financial contributions by associates and the Campbell family, including a company match; as well as volunteer service at local food banks and food bank pantry partners like this. At Mannington Mills, we’re working together to care for our communities. #Flooring #FeedingAmerica #EndHunger #MakeADifference #HungerSolution #DoTheRightThing #CommunitySupport #LocalCommunitySupport #CompanyYouKeep

I was taught if you take the time to do something, then do it well. And, that's how I approach our core value of Work Hard / Play Hard. Do both, and do them well. What's compelling about our Mannington culture is we recognize AND embrace to be healthy it's very important to do both. Cheers to that! #workhardplayhard #corporateresponsibility #values Mannington Mills, Inc.

Each year around this time, we anticipate the arrival of the purple martins who fly from their South American winter digs to our corporate headquarters in Salem, NJ. But they’re more than just adorable little visitors - they serve a practical purpose, too. They feast on bugs and help reduce our insect population in an eco-friendly way. Recently, Ruth Hess, Environmental Specialist, and Bruny Cardoso, Safety, Health & Environment Executive Administrator, did their first “house check” of the season and found 39 nests. In the next few weeks we’re hoping to see some eggs, too, followed by lots of baby birds! #Flooring #PurpleMartins #EcoFriendlySolutions

In recognition of their dedication to local community service, Mannington Mills has awarded “Stand on A Better World” scholarships to two New Jersey graduating seniors—Autumn Foote and Ruby Hassler. This scholarship program, now in its 18th year, is fully funded by donations from Mannington Mills Salem site associates. Two scholarships are offered—one to the child of a Salem-site Mannington associate and one to a Salem County high school student. Autumn is the daughter of Casey Maxwell and Matt Foote, Mannington QC Mix Operator, and is is the scholarship recipient in the “Mannington Mills” category. She’s a graduate of Salem High School and will attend Stockton University in Galloway, NJ, in the fall. Autumn strives to be a good role model for children, and has volunteered for a variety of youth-focused community projects, including Salem County Field Hockey Camp and an annual holiday toy drive by LIV Like a Unicorn, a nonprofit that raises funds for pediatric cancer and collects toys for kids going through cancer treatments at local hospitals. Ruby is the daughter of Crystal and Thomas Hassler, and is the scholarship recipient in the “Salem County” category. She’s a graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School and will attend Towson University in Towson, Maryland, this fall. Ruby’s volunteer focus has been diverse. She’s helped kindergarteners and first graders learn about swim safety through a Rotary Club event called “Interact Josh the Otter;” taught basic baseball skills to people with disabilities in the Challenger Little and Adult Baseball Leagues, and assisted at the Rotary Club’s annual holiday luncheon at Pennsville Towers’ senior citizens home. “We’re proud to recognize Autumn and Ruby for their commitment to serving others, which reflects two of our company’s core values—‘Care’ and ‘Do the Right Thing,’” said Zachary Zehner, Mannington Mills Executive Chairman of the Board. “These students exemplify how we can all make the world a better place by lending a helping hand in our local communities. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors, both academically and throughout their careers.” We are so proud of Autumn and Ruby. Please join us in congratulating them! #Flooring #GreatStudents #Scholarships #CommunityService #FutureLeaders #Care #DoTheRightThing
