Long Beach Day Nursery (LBDN) Preschool Graduations are around the corner. For Natalia, Leilani, Julian, Ariel, Lennon, and Zorah, as well as other Class of 2024 graduating preschoolers, this is what it is all about! LBDN has graduated thousands of young children who, upon entering kindergarten, were better prepared to take full advantage of their school experience. We congratulate another cohort of young ones who are preparing to start their school journeys. Your teachers will miss you, but we know you will achieve big things in life! This initiative offers qualifying families the opportunity to receive up to $3,600 in childcare support. Applications are now open! We encourage all eligible families to reap the benefits offered by Mayor's Fund for Long Beach and City of Long Beach. We were thrilled to host Scott Dixon from Chip Ganassi Racing at LBDN this spring. Before winning the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Scott took time out of his busy schedule to read to our preschoolers and share his passion for racing. The kids were mesmerized as Scott gave them an up-close look at the world of #IndyCar racing. It was so inspiring to see their eyes light up with excitement. This visit was part of the #PNCGrowUpGreat initiative, which provides free educational resources and activities to help inspire the next generation of leaders. We're proud to partner with PNC to bring opportunities like this to our students. Sending a huge thank you to Naomi Leight-Giveon for coordinating and facilitating this event.
