Last week, we shared the impacts of different therapeutic areas and sponsors with their impact on participant discontinuation risk in #clinicaltrials ⚡️In isolation, COVID-19 was not an important factor in increasing participant discontinuation risks. ⚡️What proved more meaningful were the effects of the sponsors and therapeutic areas themselves – the more complex the protocol, and the more exploratory endpoints, the higher the risk of participant discontinuation. But can we expect different discontinuation risk for trials in different geographies? It shouldn’t be too surprising that there are varying participant discontinuation risks across regions across the world, as we see here.
