This month, we come together to celebrate Pride and honor the diverse and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community within our workplace and beyond. At LifeMine, we believe in fostering an environment of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected.   To celebrate Pride Month, we hosted a Paint & Sip event at our Cambridge location. It was a wonderful opportunity for LifeMiners to express their creativity and celebrate our commitment to diversity and inclusion.   We're proud to support and stand with our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and friends, not just during Pride Month, but every day of the year. Our lead product candidate, LIFE-001, is advancing rapidly toward clinical development. As a long-acting calcineurin inhibitor, LIFE-001, a novel immunosuppressant agent for solid organ transplantation has the potential to transform #organtransplantation and significantly improve outcomes for patients. More than 400,000 patients are living with solid organ transplants in the U.S. alone. To further accelerate our efforts, we are thrilled to welcome two important members to our team, Jenny Shu, Ph.D., as our Senior Director, Biology & Immunology, and Frank Cronin as our VP, Program Management. Jenny will play a key role in the LIFE-001 development team, diving deeply into immunological and pathophysiological aspects of transplants and transplant rejection. Equally important, Frank will be responsible for guiding LIFE-001 through the clinic and beyond. We're excited to step into this new chapter for LifeMine as we reimagine drug discovery to develop next-generation therapeutics at scale.

In honor of National #DonateLifeMonth, we hosted a lunch & learn session in collaboration with New England Donor Services (NEDS)! During this event, we listened to Caitlyn Bernabucci, from NEDS, who shared insights into their impactful work within the organ donor community. We also had the privilege of meeting an organ recipient, Kerre, and learned how her life was transformed by the gift of transplantation and her struggles with the key limitations in the current standard of care. Our lead program, LIFE-001, is a novel immunosuppressant agent for solid transplantation that targets organ rejection, reduces toxicities associated with existing drugs, and overcomes the shortcomings in the current standard of care. At LifeMine, our goal is to address the unmet needs of this patient community, and ultimately transform the lives of transplant recipients.
