Earlier this week, the Liberty Source team held a Day of Service to give back to the veterans in our community in celebration of Liberty Source’s 10th Anniversary. Our Day of Service began with a wonderful opening ceremony which included approx. 100 team members who came together to show gratitude for the sacrifices of these and other veterans, and their families. We were humbled to have the opening ceremony attended by VA and community leaders:  ·        Color Guard from Bethel High School (Jr. ROTC)  ·        Chaplain Dr. Hickerson, Mental Health Chaplain Fellow, VA Medical Center  ·        Sheriff Karen E. Bowden, City of Hampton  ·        Mayor Donnie Tuck, City of Hampton  ·        Dr. Taquisa K. Simmons, Executive Director, Hampton VA Medical Center  ·        National Anthem sung by Brittany Newton (Liberty Source Events Manager)  ·        Liberty Source Pres./CEO Ron Rintala and COO Robert Siegel The ceremony was followed by volunteering throughout the day. We hope we made an impact in the lives of the various veterans and their families, with Liberty Source teams at: ·        Virginia Peninsula Foodbank  ·        LINK & SSVF of Hampton Roads - Landscaping 3 residential properties  ·        Operation ‘Vets with Nets’ fishing, skill games, and community resource booths We look forward to continuing our tradition of honoring and hiring veterans & military families as we enter our 2nd decade!
