Join us in congratulating Alexis Rose on her promotion to Senior Director! Over the past six years, Rose has been instrumental in supporting Lehmann Maupin’s global sales team and artist development by serving as a liaison to several of the gallery’s artists, including McArthur Binion, Loriel Beltrán, Lari Pittman, Arcmanoro Niles, and Billie Zangewa. In addition to providing strategic guidance to these artists, Rose has introduced many new collectors and curators to the gallery’s program, particularly from the West Coast region, where she has strong roots in the arts industry. These relationships have resulted in numerous global museum acquisitions and the placement of primary and secondary works in prestigious private collections around the world. In her new position as Senior Director, Rose will continue to work closely with the gallery’s global sales team to cultivate new and existing client relationships and will continue to serve as an artist liaison, fostering new opportunities for the gallery’s artists and identifying new talent. OSGEMEOS: Cultivating Dreams just opened at our New York gallery. On view through August 16, this exhibition invites us into the vast and magical landscape of Tritrez, a dreamworld invented by the artists and developed in their work over the past three decades. The intricate patterns and vibrant colors employed in the works in Cultivating Dreams invoke a multisensory joy that is characteristic of OSGEMEOS’ expansive oeuvre. The exhibition precedes the artists’ first US museum survey exhibition OSGEMEOS: Endless Story, on view at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, opening September 29.

What a great way to celebrate the summer solstice!
☀️ Celebrate the first day of summer with a throwback to Erwin Wurm’s "Hot Dog Bus!" 🌭 In the summer of 2018, we parked this sausage-shaped bus in Brooklyn Bridge Park and served free hot dogs to passersby on the weekends. 🚌 For more Erwin Wurm this summer, check out his solo show at the Fosun Foundation in Shanghai, now on view through August 25. Don't miss your chance to visit Marilyn Minter's first solo show in Seoul, only on view through Saturday, April 27.
Ahead of her first solo exhibition in Seoul, and forthcoming presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong with Lehmann Maupin gallery, Marilyn Minter shot an exclusive self-portrait for Tatler Asia and spoke to us about why she likes to upend established beauty norms 💋 Here's a snippet: Frankly, if I was 21 years old and Bill Clinton wanted to f*ck me, I’d have f*cked him in a nano-second.” Marilyn Minter was characteristically unfiltered when she spoke with Tatler over a video call in November. The conversation was about the 75-year-old artist’s upcoming presentations in Hong Kong and Seoul, but quickly veered into a throng of passionate quips about strong woman figures who have been unfairly and overly scrutinised. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Isabella Icoz as Partner, based in London. In her new role as a Partner, Icoz will collaborate closely with the gallery founders and partners, who are based in New York, to strengthen the gallery’s connections in the UK and Europe and provide a bridge for its artists’ activity in the region. Icoz will drive the gallery's programme, sales, and curatorial initiatives in the UK and Europe, which encompasses active participation in regional art fairs, including Frieze London and Art Basel. Additionally, she will continue to leverage her exemplary network to collaborate with museums, biennials, and institutions in the region to organize exhibitions that showcase its artists’ work and introduce their practices to new audiences and geographies. Under Icoz’s leadership, next year we will launch a new pop-up location on Cork Street, strategically positioned in the heart of Mayfair, which boasts the highest concentration of galleries. This development will enhance Lehmann Maupin's deep-rooted connections to London—a city that serves as a home to many artists in its program, including Billy Childish, Mandy El-Sayegh, Gilbert & George, Shirazeh Houshiary, Chantal Joffe, and Do Ho Suh. This decision comes at a time when the gallery is looking to expand its footprint in London and is exploring new options for its artists. The gallery will continue to operate its space at Cromwell Place with forthcoming solo exhibitions by Tammy Nguyen and Loriel Beltrán, both slated for next year. Learn more in Artsy:
