Learn more about Lori:
I was born, raised, and still living in Omaha, Nebraska. I have two dogs, a beagle named Winston and a lab named Ruger. In my free time, you can likely find me outside hanging out with them. I also love spending time with my family, my parents are my best friends! I also really enjoy giving back to the community whenever possible!
1. How long have you been in the industry & what roles have you held in your career?
8 years! I started working as a front desk specialist. This is where I was introduced to the healthcare staffing industry by formatting resumes and completing references. After about a year and a half, I moved into a compliance role teaching me all the requirements for our healthcare heroes. Two and a half years after that I transitioned into the sales side of the industry holding multiple positions varying from Vendor Submission Specialist, Radiology Recruiter, Allied Support Specialist and Radiology Account Manager. During this time, I was working with travelers, vendors, and hospitals. I absolutely love connecting with people and building lifelong relationships! I am extremely honored to be a part of the Lark team as a Senior Account Manager in Radiology now. I get to work with great people!
2️. How did you become interested in the medical staffing industry, & what motivated you to pursue a career in it?
I honestly had no idea what the medical staffing industry was. Once I started learning about it, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in it because of the healthcare heroes I had connected with were amazing individuals. Healthcare workers are passionate about building relationships and helping others. I feel the same way, so I knew I wanted to be a part of something bigger and so special!
3️. What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone aspiring to work in the medical staffing field?
It is not easy, there are ups and downs and the medical staffing industry is not for everyone. Your passion and purpose will shine most. You will work hard all the time, but all your hard work will have a bigger purpose and you must want that. It is personally fulfilling to work with healthcare workers and hospitals.
4️. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
I went to a resort in Mexico called Xcaret, and they have a bunch of different parks affiliated with them. When I was there, I was able to swim and raft in underground rivers, tour multiple cenotes, snorkel in rivers and inlets, explore the jungle in ATV’s and Zip Line. I have never done anything like this before and it was so much fun!
