the future of grab & go hydration. beverage vending stations without the single-use waste.

About us

We’re Kadeya—the future of hydration featuring high quality drinks with low environmental impact that help everyone thrive. Since we’re all just very literally bodies of water, being dehydrated by 4% of your body mass can reduce your response time by nearly 25%. So whether you’re at a building site or in the boardroom, staying hydrated makes you feel better and perform better too. To help you do just that, we’re proud to operate the only network of low waste vending stations serving a selection of purified water, carbonated, flavored, and branded drinks in infinite bottles that could never end up in landfill. We’ve created bottled water for the future, making it ... Safer: To lower the carbon output, we source water locally instead of shipping it, and purify it with an advanced filtration process. Our water quality beats market standards—and we like to keep things transparent by sharing that data with you. Healthier: Along with clean water, we then create flavored and carbonated drinks free from microplastics, because our infinite bottles are made from glass or stainless steel. You can also optimize your hydration with the Kadeya app, to make sure you’re always at your best. By rethinking the bottled water supply chain entirely, we’ve created a circular system that makes a positive impact for both you and the planet with every sip, gulp and swig.

How can we rethink the beverage supply chain to make it more sustainable? 🌱 I chatted with CEO and Founder Manuela Zoninsein on the Energy Superheroes Podcast. At her company Kadeya, she is helping crack down on single use plastics through innovative beverage vending stations. 🥤 Kadeya’s bottling plant, about the size of a vending machine, allows customers to choose beverages and dispense them in custom, patented stainless steel bottles. Each bottle dispensed by Kadeya cuts down the carbon footprint by 100 grams of CO2, marking a 77% improvement over single-use plastic bottles. 👍 Her solution can help decrease environmental impact, while also supporting frontline workers. 🌏 To learn more about Kadeya, check out the full episode at Energy.Media or Spotify. 🎤 What are your thoughts on this unique approach to plastics? Managing bottled water for large worksites is no small task. For a worksite with 500+ employees, the numbers quickly add up: 1 pallet = 54 cases of water 1 case of water = 35 bottles 1 pallet = 1,890 bottles With employees needing about 3 bottles of water a day, over 5 days a week, 260 days a year, that's 780 bottles a year per employee. For 500 employees, that translates to a staggering 390,000 bottles a year—equivalent to 206 pallets of bottled water! Here’s where Kadeya makes a difference: 🚰 ONE Kadeya station can replace all those 206 pallets of bottled water annually. Imagine the convenience and labor saved by eliminating the need to move, store, and dispose of thousands of plastic bottles. With Kadeya’s closed-loop hydration stations, you get: ✅ Fresh, high-quality water and beverages on demand ✅ No more moving heavy pallets and cases of water ✅ Reduced plastic waste and enhanced sustainability ✅ Improved employee hydration and wellness Unlike other solutions, Kadeya dispenses your drink in a reusable stainless steel container that gets returned for reuse and autonomously cleaned. This means you don’t have to worry about providing or cleaning reusable bottles or cups. Kadeya transforms workplace hydration, making it easier, more sustainable, and cost-effective. Passionate about helping green tech companies grow and thrive 🌱 Support your WHY with ROI 🌱 We help you tell the value story that gets your customers to act 🌱

That 40-pack of plastic water bottles you just grabbed at your favorite membership grocery warehouse? The majority of those are going to end up in a landfill or incinerator. Yikes! 🤯 💧 What if hydration could be provided as a flexible, pay-as-you-go service, offering a cost-effective alternative to single-use plastic bottles? 💧 What if workers whose jobs are outdoors and exposed to extreme heat had easy access to cold, fresh water? 💧 What if you could ensure high-quality, microplastic-free water with advanced filtration and industrial-grade cleaning? 💧 What if you could simplify hydration logistics and reduce labor for clean-up with an all-in-one solution? 💧 What if there were a closed-loop system that could eliminate single-use containers? Manuela Zoninsein and her team at Kadeya have developed a unique solution that tackles environmental and logistical challenges at the same time! Their stations give you clean water without microplastics and reduce plastic waste. This helps the environment, saves money, and makes hydration easier to manage. Plus, Kadeya's system creates new jobs and supports recycling. It’s great for businesses, people, and the planet. (yes, fangirling over here! 😍 ) While Kadeya's hydration stations are in the early stages, you can still make a difference this weekend. Skip the plastic bottles and use a reusable one instead. Plan a picnic with family or friends and bring your own refillable containers. Every small step counts! #PlasticFreeJuly #Sustainability #Kadeya #MakeYourImpact

Illinois is moving towards Senate Bill 85 to boost recycling rates and reduce litter through a deposit return system (DRS). Under the bill, consumers are incentivized to return empty beverage containers to redemption locations to receive a refund for the deposit. This encourages consumers to actively participate in recycling and helps ensure containers are properly recycled rather than ending up as waste. Industry stakeholders throughout the supply chain have expressed key concerns about the bill... ➡ Changes how people buy and return beverage containers, affecting jobs and finances in the recycling sector. ➡ Many MRFs (Material Recovery Facilities) don’t meet the necessary standards for single-stream glass recycling. ➡ Removal of high-value materials from the stream may pass costs to customers, and there’s no minimum recycled content requirement for new containers which could result in a surplus supply of recycled material without necessary demand. 💧 Kadeya’s closed-loop beverage stations can eliminate many of the issues with single-use containers and recycling, eliminating inefficiencies in current supply chains, creating new industry and jobs, addressing some of the conflicts around the bottle bill. 💧 Kadeya's system of reuse can drastically cut the volume of single-use containers ending up in landfills or as environmental pollution, addressing the fact that only about 28% of single-use plastic bottles get recycled (Source: National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR)). 💧 Kadeya's reuse model significantly lowers production and disposal costs, translating into cost savings for businesses and consumers while supporting environmental and economic sustainability. 🔗 Learn more about SB 85 and its impact: https://lnkd.in/gf54k-pJ #Kadeya #Sustainability #Recycling #BottleBill #Illinois #CircularEconomy #EnvironmentalImpact #Innovation #PlasticFree

The #1 question we get asked "Why not just use a reusable water bottle?" Our CEO/founder Manuela Zoninsein explains why reusable water bottles aren't the answer to eliminating single-use bottles that many think they are. If you already use a reusable water bottle, keep doing it - it matters! Unfortunately the perception that "everyone is using a reusable water bottle" is just not true and the consumption of single-use still continues to grow at a rate that reusables can't catch up to. That's where Kadeya comes in. 💧 Kadeya's closed-loop hydration stations can replace single-use at the same cost, quality, and convenience - something that reusables can't do. Kadeya's bottling plant the size of a vending machine can finally eliminate the need for single-use containers forever, for everyone, everywhere. Find out how you can bring a Kadeya station to your workplace ➡ 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gE26UejK

    CEO @ Kadeya 🌊 Waste-free Hydration

In today's tragicomic tale of analytical mishaps, we look at sloppy statistical interpretation published by The Wall Street Journal opinion editors around a frequently misunderstood topic: reusable water bottles. 🕵🏾♀️ Careless causality: "If everyone around me is carrying a reusable bottle, then that must mean everyone the world over is also carrying a reusable bottle." Right? WRONG. In 2023, the global reusable water bottle market was just $10B. That same year, the global packaged/bottled water market was $315 Billion, over 31X larger. And it's growing at a faster CAGR, meaning reusables are not on track to ever overtake single-use. 📉 Error by extension: "Since the people I know only drink water or coffee, the reusable bottle market which carries such beverages is representative of the entire market." Right? WRONG. Packaged/bottled water is only responsible for 25-30% of the packaged, non-alcoholic beverage market globally. This is a $1.1+ trillion market which is estimated to reach $1.5-$1.7 trillion by 2027. That means all packaged beverages are an at least 100x larger market than reusables. 👑 Pride of privilege: "If I'm a culture opinion writer for The WSJ, and my daughter goes to grad school, and she has 11 reusable bottles that cost ~$40 each, and I live in Manhattan and exercise in Central Park, where I consume the fountain water, then everyone must similarly have access to great quality tap water." Right? WRONG. While the vast majority of Americans do have access to safe tap water, issues persist for certain underprivileged and underserved communities across the country, particularly in rural, tribal, and otherwise historically under-resourced areas. Aging infrastructure and contamination are among the leading issues, lead pipes here in the Midwest notwithstanding. Moreover, not everyone works a career where they get to sit at a desk and slowly sip on a heavy 1-Liter bottle. Globally, nearly 800M people don't have access to potable water - though the good news is, that number is decreasing. But in other news: always fun to hear others play the world's smallest violin 🎻
