RISE AWARDS✨ | Congratulations to Dr. Mario Martinez, Family Medicine physician at the Kaweah Health Tulare Clinic, who recently received the 2024 Physician Excellence in Quality Award at the Kaweah Health R.I.S.E. Awards. This awards ceremony highlights the world-class service delivered by providers working in our outpatient clinics. Dr. Martinez has been caring for our patients since 2020. He also serves as the Program Director for the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Family Medicine residency program. As a doctor and faculty member, Dr. Martinez has demonstrated a deep and unwavering commitment to providing and improving quality care to his patients, and providing a topnotch experience to his Family Medicine residents. #CongratsGrads 👏| Let’s hear it for our 2024 Graduate Medical Education Graduates! 🎉Kaweah Health’s 9th Annual GME Graduation ceremony honored 41 doctors from six specialties who have compassionately served and provided world-class care to our community during their medical training. Plus, we’ve graduated three fellow physicians (doctors seeking advanced training) from our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. During their rigorous training, each one of these doctors successfully learned how to apply their medical knowledge to care for patients – increasing access to care in Tulare County. Our journey as a teaching institution started 11 years ago, and we’re incredibly proud to report that since then about 42% of our #doctors have chosen to stay and serve in the Central Valley. Meet our newest World Class Employee of the Month - Amanda Muñoz, a 13-year employee and Physical Therapist II. 🎉 Amanda works in our Home Health department and is known for her reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness. She oversees the care of patients in the Visalia and Exeter areas, and manages to treat every patient with #compassion and respect. Amanda has a wealth of knowledge and is never too busy to offer a helping hand to a patient or team member. She also serves as the primary physical therapist supporting physical therapy assistants, and occasionally floats to acute care therapy to assist team members. In addition, Amanda recently collaborated with our Hospice team to help coordinate the care plan of our pediatric hospice patients. She is an advocate for excellent quality and improvement of care. Amanda cares for patients in some of the most vulnerable times of their lives, and she manages to make physical therapy a joy for them by building good rapport during their recovery journey.
