I don't have a traditional job description, but I'm excited to announce that after the success of our game 'Death by AI' on Discord, we are investing more in the creation of Discord games. I'm looking to bring on a Game Director, experienced with building social games, have led either creative or engineering department, and is enthusiastic about the future of AI in gaming and Discord. While I’m not looking for resumes, a warm introduction from a mutual connection would be appreciated. Additionally, if you're excited about the gaming ecosystem on Discord and believe you can contribute as a Game Producer, Artist, Engineer, or as Community Manager, I'd love to hear from you.     💻✨ Code Adventure - DevLog n°4 ✨💻 🚨Annonce : Le jeu devient multijoueur 🚨 Vous l'aurez remarqué, il n'y a pas eu de devlog hier... Tout simplement parce que j'ai passé un bon moment à implémenter le multijoueur en temps réel dans le jeu ! Comme dit la citation "Seul on va plus vite, mais ensemble on va plus loin" et c'est aussi valable pour l'apprentissage. Voilà pourquoi vous pourrez croiser (et bientôt interagir avec d'autres joueurs/joueuses) à l'école. La fonctionnalité est encore à améliorer comme vous pourrez le voir dans la vidéo, mais au moins ça fonctionne, et on se sent déjà moins seul ! Voici mes avancées de ce week-end : ✅ Multijoueur temps-réel : Intégration de Playroom et génération aléatoire de nom d'utilisateur (#123 par exemple) ✅ Correction : Escaliers désormais fonctionnels (on peut monter ET descendre des marches, mieux que le festival de Cannes 🦆) ✅ Niveau école : Amélioration du niveau et ajout des collisions (murs) ✅ Refactor : La gestion de collision avec le sol fait désormais partie intégrante du modèle du niveau (et non plus un composant séparé) Abonnez-vous à mon compte pour suivre les avancées du projet, et pensez à vous inscrire à l'accès anticipé pour avoir une place lors de la sortie de la béta ! 🚀 Pour tester le jeu : https://lnkd.in/eqJ87Sth

    You can now build games right into Discord ⚔️ So I've shipped this ready-to-use template, which comes with batteries included: physics and multiplayer ⚡️ Repo in comments -- feel free to steal, copy, and remix! For techy-tech friends, it's built using SvelteKit, Three.js for 3D and maths, Rapier as physics engine, and Playroom for multiplayer features.     "Alors, le projet Mario Kart 3.js, il en est où ?" Et bien le bonjour, avant de commencer, je voulais vous dire que grâce au nouveau service de hosting de Playroom, le projet est de nouveau live sur leurs plateforme (lien en commentaire). Leur service est super, tu run le build de ton application, et tu Drag & Drop le build. Pas encore de CI/CD mais ça ne saurait tarder, je connais l'équipe et ils bossent dur ! Enfin bref, vous méritez une mise à jour sur le projet ! Où ça en es ? Et bien figurez-vous que je continue à travailler dessus, alors certes pas du tout à la vitesse à laquelle je voudrais, et je n'ai plus du tout ce rythme de une feature par jours. Je suis actuellement surchargé de boulot, ce qui est une excellente chose ! J'adorerais faire du BuildinPublic des différents projets sur lesquels je travaille mais malheureusement ils sont tous sous N.D.A 🥲. Quoi qu'il en soit, j'essaie d'attribuer au moins une heure de mon temps sur le projet Mario Kart 3.js, cependant le projet à atteint une petite impasse : Les performances. Je veux que le projet fonctionne parfaitement sur le plus d'appareil possible et pour l'instant c'est loin d'être le cas. Donc avant d'aller plus loin dans les features, il faut que j'améliore énormément les performances. Actuellement c'est mieux, j'ai gagné environ 30% de perf sur mon Mac mais il faut que j'aille bien plus loin. Ainsi, avant de rajouter de nouvelles features et de vous faire des updates, je vais me concentrer sur les performances. Merci à tous pour le support continue tout le long du projet. Et croyez moi je lâche rien !

    🥳 Here is our little GDC announcement! Today, we are launching Playroom for Web and are excited to showcase our new website and developer showreel. At Playroom, we are on a mission to bring people together through games but despite the existence of many multiplayer solutions, building a multiplayer games has been quite a painful process. We noticed that all the white-glove and AAA backend services are provided to studios who are shipping console games. And Web games, a true cross-platform experience, are treated as second-class citizens. 🌐 Starting today, Playroom will be the Fastest way to build, deploy, and playtest multiplayer web games. With platforms like CrazyGames, Poki 🔜 GDC🇺🇸, YouTube, and now Discord opening up their surfaces for development, game studios now have the opportunity to find bigger distribution through these social channels. Game studios can utilize Playroom to build multiplayer games that are truly cross-platform and can handle the scale needed when distributed across multiple platforms. ✨ Once deployed in Playroom, every game that is launched, starts the server closest to the player in 300+ cities in 120+ countries maintaining ~50ms for about 95% of the players around the world. All this happens through the magic of managed servers with Playroom With so much innovation happening around us, we want game studios to leverage all the latest and greatest technologies.
