About us
jNet Secure provides security software solutions (biometric, cryptocurrency cold storage, smart card, eID, and IoT) under contract with silicon manufacturers for governments, card manufacturers, and various other use cases on a global scale. jNet Secure is based in Los Gatos, CA and Lyon, France. jNet is a “technology enabler” in the business of developing JavaCard & GlobalPlatform Operating Systems. jNet licensees either obtain the necessary training and port jNet’s source code to their chosen secure element or contract jNet’s team to complete the entire project for them from inception through security certification. jNet’s unified code base has been under active “clean room” development for over ten years and has been ported to a variety of chips, from 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit cores. Over the years, this high-performance JavaCard Virtual Machine (VM) has evolved into a compact, modular, mature, portable, secure and flexible platform. It has undergone extensive testing and security validations with multiple vendors, i.e. its core is FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria (CC) certification-ready, out of the box.

🌐 Mastercard Commits to Full Tokenization and Passkeys in EU by 2030! 🌐 In a bold move towards a seamless digital payment future, Mastercard has announced plans to achieve 100% e-commerce tokenization in Europe by 2030. This initiative aligns with their global strategy to phase out manual card entry, enhancing security and accessibility for online checkouts. 👉 Key Highlights: 🔹 Tokenization replaces traditional card numbers with secure tokens, safeguarding transactions. 🔹Passkeys leverage mobile biometrics for authentication, eliminating the need for passwords and enhancing security with cryptographic technology. 🔹Mastercard's tokenization service currently secures a quarter of all global e-commerce transactions. 🔹Enhanced integration of the Click to Pay system will expedite checkouts, increase sales, and bolster fraud protection. Valerie Nowak, EVP of Product and Innovation for Mastercard Europe, emphasized the benefits: “The convenience and reduced fraud rates sell themselves. Achieving this vision by 2030 is a win-win-win for shoppers, retailers, and card issuers alike.” This initiative supports the EU's transition into the digital wallet era, transforming everyday devices into secure payment platforms. #DigitalPayments #Tokenization #Biometrics #Fintech #Innovation Read more: https://lnkd.in/d6yKWfW4

🚢 Canadian Cruise Terminal Enhances Security with Pangiam Face Biometrics! 🔸 The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, in partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), has implemented Pangiam's advanced face biometrics system at the Canada Place cruise terminal in Vancouver. This innovative technology simplifies the passenger boarding process by verifying identities through real-time facial recognition, comparing photos taken at boarding with pre-trip travel documents. 🔹 Developed by PANGIAM, a BigBear.ai subsidiary, this system not only boosts passenger experience and operational efficiency but also enhances border security. The implementation replaces the automatic passport kiosks introduced in 2015 and supports open-loop pre-inspection for Canadian marine passengers. 🔹Kevin McAleenan, President of BigBear.ai and former acting Secretary of Homeland Security, highlighted the system's use of state-of-the-art AI and computer vision for immediate identity verification. 🔹With an anticipated 1.27 million passengers between March and October 2024, this upgrade is set to significantly streamline operations at the terminal. #Biometrics #FacialRecognition #BorderSecurity #CruiseIndustry #Innovation Read more: https://lnkd.in/ddBV-_C4

🚨 Vote Begins on Biometric Injection Attack Standard! 🚨 Exciting developments in biometric security! The vote has started on the prTS 18099 standard, focusing on biometric data injection attacks, with potential publication in October 2024. CLR Labs Director Kévin Carta detailed the stakes during the latest EAB Lunch Talk. This standard aims to tackle attacks that introduce fake biometric data between data capture and signal processing, impacting modalities like face, iris, voice, and contactless fingerprint recognition. 🔹 Biometric injection attacks, previously known in cybersecurity (e.g., SQL injections), are now a rising threat in remote identity proofing. The standard outlines methods to detect and prevent such attacks, ensuring stronger security for the EU Digital Identity Wallet rollouts. #Biometrics #Cybersecurity #Innovation #TechStandards #IdentityProtection Read more: https://lnkd.in/d2KUiv9Y

🔐 In today's regulatory landscape, strong authentication is essential for compliance and security. With regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and PSD2 dictating stringent security measures, businesses need robust solutions to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber-attacks. Enter FIDO2—a high-assurance, passwordless multi-factor authentication standard that leverages public key cryptography. FIDO2 not only thwarts phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks but also simplifies regulatory compliance by ensuring secure and private authentication processes. 🌟 Key Benefits of FIDO2: Compliance with GDPR and CCPA: FIDO2 supports local biometric storage, aligning with data protection requirements. PSD2 Compliance: It provides strong customer authentication with independent, secure execution environments. By adopting FIDO2, organizations can enhance security, streamline compliance, and improve user convenience.
