About us
JLS Automation helps food packagers optimize performance and yield while ensuring safe operations and food safety with its hygienic robotic packaging solutions. The intuitive, user-friendly designs solve packaging challenges with simple, easy-to-use custom vision-guided primary and secondary robotic packaging systems. Hygienic primary product handling systems, case packers and cartoners from JLS optimize performance and maximize output while tackling the strictest sanitary requirements. Founded in 1955, JLS® offers extensive application knowledge, a true partnership mindset and unrivaled aftermarket support. Customers choose JLS for its hygienic primary product handling systems, case packers and cartoners when performance matters. Our primary product handling systems, Osprey® Robotic Case Packers and Talon® Robotic Picking Systems, eliminate manual product handling and many elements of product and package inspection, including: > Flexible design and small footprint that easily integrates into existing lines > Rapid changeover with few adjustments > USDA-approved design for sanitary, wash-down environments > Small electrical footprint with integrated robot and machine controls In addition, the Osprey® and Talon® feature patented and proprietary end-of-arm tooling that easily handles: > Meat, poultry and dairy products > Frozen and prepared foods > Bakery products, tortillas, flat bread, snack cakes Automatically detect leaks at speeds up to 160 packages per minute with our PIVT® (Package Integrity Validation Technologies) system that uses a combination of vacuum, vision and other sensors to find package seal contamination, leaks and pinholes. The system is ideal for packages that contain a brine or juice such as hot dogs, sliced luncheon meats, and sausages. JLS® is a member of PMMI, FPSA, Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association, BEMA, American Society of Baking, National Turkey Federation and the Tortilla Industry Association.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate inclusivity and acceptance. Reflecting on the fun and meaningful moments from June can inspire us to continue advocating for and supporting each other throughout the year. At JLS we celebrate and welcome diversity with open arms, open minds, and open hearts. May we carry this spirit of love, acceptance, and resilience beyond June. 🌈 Sponsored York County Pride event hosted by Rainbow Rose 🌈 Sponsored the jerseys for York Revolution Pride in the Park

Did you know June is Safety Month? At JLS, employee safety is our top priority. To get our team involved, we hosted a chair yoga lesson, as well as an ergonomics workshop presented by Tyler Micheltree from Motive Health. Tyler provided information to the group and demonstrated strengthening and stretching exercises to work safely when doing physically demanding work. Thank you to Tyler and all who participated!
