Supporting children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities since 1975.
About us
Established in 1975 by members of the Autism Society of LA, Jay Nolan Community Services (JNCS) is a leader in innovative community-based support services for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. In the 1990s, JNCS made history in disability services by offering Supported Living. This service disrupted the group home model by enabling adults with disabilities to live independently in their own homes with in-home supports. We believe with the right kinds of assistance, everyone can pursue their hopes and dreams and live to their full potential within the community. Today, JNCS has 600 staff supporting over 400 individuals. We provide an array of quality services in Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern and Santa Clara Counties, offering individualized planning guided by the needs and wishes of the person receiving services and his or her Circle of Support. Our mission is to enable individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities to live fulfilling lives as members of the community by providing support services customized to their individual needs. It is an ideal of inclusion, rather than exclusion and segregation.

Join us in welcoming our new supervisor, Priscilla Garcia!!👏🏼🧡🩵🤍 1. Why did you decide to join Jay Nolan Community Services? “The website. As silly as that sounds, the way Jay Nolan presents themselves is very transparent. There is no other shoe waiting to drop. I am not wondering what is around the corner in terms of services or what the goal of the company is. What you come into is what you are getting. And so far, I am enjoying every minute of it and its people / culture.😊” 2. What are you looking forward to most in your new role? “Getting to meet the different families, people we service and seeing them grow into their own. Most of the people I am working with are in high school, so they are going through this phase of maturing and coming into their own. We have the privilege of being there alongside them and helping them on this journey! But no matter the age they chose to give Jay Nolan a try, so we have the opportunity to grow with them.😊” 3. What's the most exciting thing about you that most people don't know? “Kayaking. I love being outdoors and kayaking on every trip I take! I make sure to set aside time on most trips to be able to kayak!” #wearejncs #supervisor #newsupervisor #employment #employmentopportunities - - - [Image Description: photo one features Priscilla smiling, and photo two is Priscilla (left) and friend (right), jumping in the air.]
