Depth of PPLG Iceberg Credit to: Aakash Gupta Original post below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ If you want to do product-led growth like the best (Miro, Canva, Notion), then you need to pull off the 8 layers of the PLG Iceberg. In my latest deep dive with Jaryd Hermann into Miro, we go deep on this framework and break down what it takes to really execute PLG. Hereโ€™s a quick rundown of each layer: โ†“โ†“ ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ ๐‹1 & ๐‹2: ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐“๐ข๐ฉ ๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐œ๐ž๐›๐ž๐ซ๐  It's all about communicating your value. Miroโ€™s onboarding begins before handing over an email with: โ†ณ Compelling messaging โ†ณ Trust-building/social proof โ†ณ Transparent pricing ๐Ÿ› ๐‹3: ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Ž๐ง๐›๐จ๐š๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐  Miro ensures a smooth start with a minimalist setup: โ†ณ They nudge users to sign up with a work email, but donโ€™t require it โ†ณ Sign up is basic. There are no fancy visuals trying to over-communicate anything โ†ณ They use progressive reveals, minimizing cognitive load โ†ณ They leverage Single Sign On (SSO) with business-grade auth providers ๐ŸŽฏ ๐‹4 & ๐‹5: ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐•๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž Miro excels in personalizing the onboarding experience, ensuring users quickly find their "aha" moment. โ†ณ They have dedicated flows for both board Creators and Joiners โ†ณ Thereโ€™s no โ€œblank stateโ€ โ†ณ Onboarding is persona based โ†ณ They use templates to reduce Time To Value โ†ณ Miroโ€™s onboarding is based on ๐˜š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ >>> ๐˜›๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ. ๐Ÿ”„ ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‡๐š๐›๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ (๐‹6) Miro focuses on creating habitual usage patterns around their core value action, driving long-term engagement. โ†ณ Their freemium plan avoids throttling value (use now, pay for biz features later) โ†ณ They focus on extensibility, embedding themselves across other popular tools ๐Ÿ’ฐ ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: ๐๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ง๐  & ๐๐š๐œ๐ค๐š๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  (๐‹7) From a generous freemium model to value-packed premium plans, Miro's pricing strategy is a masterclass in PLG. โ†ณ Freemium is crafted to remove barriers to entry and encourage users to invite others to collaborate, creating a viral loop. โ†ณ They monetize business (and power user) needs, just like Slack does โ™ผ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ-๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐š๐œ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฌ (๐‹8) PLA is not โ€œrefer a friendโ€. True PLA means your users naturally invite other users while using your productโ€”for free. โ†ณ Miro avoids cash incentive invites. For one, it attracts lower intent users. โ†ณ They leverage the viral flywheel by making the product inately collaborative ______________ Follow for more Useful Infographics

How quiet people make a big impact. Credit to: Dr. Christian Poensgen Original post below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ "Quiet people have the loudest minds." (Stephen Hawking) 50% of the population identifies as introverted. This means introverts make up half of your workforce. Yet, their unique strengths often go unnoticed. Workplaces usually aren't set up to support introverts. โ—Unexpected meetings. โ—Constant interruptions. โ—Mandatory social events. โ—Open feedback sessions. โ—Crowded common areas. These all exclude introverts. They like being behind the scenes. But they do want to participate. So, how should we include them? By understanding their personality and creating spaces that take them into consideration. Here's how you can do it: โ–น Set up small group meetings. โ–น Seek actively for their opinions. โ–น Give them time to think and speak. โ–น Recognize their critical thinking skills. โ–น Allow them to share ideas through emails. โ–น Provide areas or times for them to focus or recharge. Don't be fooled by their silence. Introverts make a bigger impact than you think. You just need to create the space for them. ______________ Follow for more Useful Infographics

10 Dangerous personalities to avoid. Credit to: Igor Buinevici Original post below โฌ‡๏ธ โฌ‡๏ธ โฌ‡๏ธ Toxic employees destroy your culture and your bottom line: This was scientifically proven by Harvard Research. Nothing destroys a culture faster than feelings of danger and mistrust. Leaders who wait to contain toxic damage risk losing everything. I usually see the good in people, believing they want what's best for themselves, others, and their organizations. But, there are types of people who can significantly negatively impact both people and organizations: Letโ€™s discuss ten types of toxic personalities, based on great definitions from Jeroen Kraaijenbrink. Each type has its own way of causing trouble: 1. HiPPO โ€“ Highest Paid Personโ€™s Opinion 2. ZEBRA โ€“ Zero Evidence But Really Arrogant 3. WOLF โ€“ Working On the Latest Fire 4. RHINO โ€“ Really Here In Name Only 5. SEAGULL โ€“ Senior Executive that Always Glides in, Unloads and Leaves Loudly 6. DODO โ€“ Dangerously OutDated Opinions 7. ViPER โ€“ Vindictive Person Endangering Results 8. MOUSE โ€“ Muddled Opinions, Usually Swayed Easily 9. PARROT โ€“ Pretty Annoying and Ridiculously Repeating OThers 10. DONKEY โ€“ Data Only, No Knowledge, Expertise or whY Often, the characteristics of the animal itself closely correspond to what it represents. Take a look at examples like PARROT, DODO, DONKEY. Notice the alignment? This is what makes the Zoo such a potent tool for analyzing people. Now think about the people around you. Which toxic personalities do you recognize? You cannot avoid toxic personalities all the time. But this awareness should at least help deal with them a little more effectively Adapted from Jeroen Kraaijenbrink. ______________ Follow for more Useful Infographics
