    Can't get your champion to intro you to their boss? Here's an approach to try from Joe McNeill: --- 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏: Ask- what needs to be true for you to be comfortable making the introduction? Example talk track: "Mark, I totally hear you that it might be a little early to put this in front of the firm's Managing Partner. Based on my experience, that person will usually need to be involved for sign-off at some point. What boxes do you feel like we need to check in order to feel comfortable getting Emma involved?" --- 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: Now that you know the measurement criteria, you don't have to blindly stumble through endless meetings & demos. Since you understand the criteria they are measuring against, you'll be able to tailor your demo/presentation to more directly address the things your contact is measuring you against. --- 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: If the measurement criteria they give you is unreasonable...you don't have a champion, you have a blocker!
