Yesterday’s Indiana State Department of Agriculture report highlighted a nearly 2% reduction in farmland statewide from 2010-2022. We proudly celebrate the impressive efficiency of farmers who have increased crop yields while farming fewer acres but the trend of losing farmland at this pace is not to be taken lightly. The vitality of Indiana agriculture tomorrow depends on our actions today. Farm Bureau members across all 92 counties are shaping this future together by stepping forward as a unified voice for agriculture, creating change at the local and state levels. At Indiana Farm Bureau, we're dedicated to protecting and enhancing the future of agriculture and our communities. Farmland protection and other critical issues are being discussed by our members as they shape policy positions ahead of the upcoming session of the Indiana General Assembly. Join the conversation and make a difference. Connect with your county Farm Bureau leaders today: https://lnkd.in/gKEcCjke. And view the report at https://lnkd.in/gHPyxcaf.
