Last night, SOSV's IndieBio, Ontario Government | Gouvernement de l’Ontario’s Trade & Investment Office, and Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) co-hosted an insightful panel discussion on the importance of building a global company from day one, moderated by Stephen Chambers. Prolific is the first to use light — safe and abundant — to produce everyday essentials, from nutritional proteins and lifesaving drugs to cultivated meat. Our photomolecular biology platform delivers unprecedented control, precisely guiding cellular behavior when and where it matters most. This technology debut is coupled with the close of our milestone $55M Series B1 fundraise, led by Ki Tua Fund CVC of Fonterra Co-operative Group. We could not be more grateful to partner with Ki Tua Fund on this journey and for the continued support of our long-time investors Breakthrough Energy Cooper Rinzler Mayfield Fund Arvind Gupta IndieBio Po Bronson SOSV Continental Grain Company Shorewind Capital Darco Capital In-Q-Tel (IQT) Robert Downey Jr.'s FootPrint Coalition Matthew Katz and many more. This announcement marks our next chapter as a commercial organization. We are excited to unveil partnerships with industry leaders in cellular agriculture, pharmaceuticals, nutritional proteins, and beyond. Stay tuned for details in the coming months, and get in touch at partners@prolific-machines.com if you're interested in co-developing the future of biology with us. 🌍 We’re excited to share that our biomaterials were featured on the #DrewBarrymore Show for their #EarthDay segment on green innovations. It was amazing to get real-time feedback and see people's first impressions of our material live on the show. Watching our product reach a wider audience is truly fascinating!
