"The 'Healthcare is Human' campaign recently launched by FIGS is honorable, and one we support. But they’ve forgotten the veterinary professionals from whom they profit. Representation matters. The suffering of veterinary professionals is rarely seen or acknowledged at the societal level. Veterinary professionals are healthcare workers too. Full stop. We rely on them not only for the health of our beloved furry companions, but also to aid in public health and ensure the safety of our food chain. When our society dismisses them as less than, it allows the harsh working conditions in the veterinary field to continue and can heighten their suffering. We need to start valuing the well-being and happiness of veterinary workers. We can be better. Our veterinary professionals deserve better." Here's our CEO & Co-Founder Michael Raphael's take on the systemic changes we need in veterinary medicine to save our veterinary professionals from the dangerous path we're on. It is so much more than stress balls and calls for "resilience." #veterinarymedicine #healthcareworkers #workingconditions #culture #mentalhealth #wellness #toxicworkplace #burnout #compassionfatigue #dvm #vmd #veterinaryjobs #workplacesafety #vetclinic #animalhospital Not One More Vet

Relief work, reimagined. Indevets is on a mission to bring balance, fulfillment and joy to veterinary medicine.
About us
Relief work, reimagined. IndeVets is on a mission to bring balance, fulfillment, and joy to veterinary medicine. We began with the not-so-crazy idea that vets deserve to love their jobs AND have lives outside of work. As practicing vets ourselves, we had some first-hand experience with the burnout that has become our status quo. Insane hours, little-to-no support, office politics, too much focus on production, and piles of vet school debt are all too real these days. We knew there had to be a better way, and we decided to put our feet (and paws) down and fix it. We started from scratch and set out to create a totally new way to practice that puts vets first. We took what makes associate work reliable and combined it with what makes relief work flexible. That means all our docs get proper pay for the hours they work, full benefits, and total schedule control, with plenty of shifts that fit neatly into their lives. All our IndeVets create their own schedules, choosing shifts from our hundreds of partner hospitals. They’re supported by an incredible team, who handle everything from making sure our clinical standards are met to making sure there’s never any guilt for a sick day or vacay. Plus all our doctors are connected virtually, and share x-rays, rads and tough case questions in real time for added support. Our hospital partners are pretty great too – we partner with forward-thinking practices that understand the value an engaged, knowledgeable doctor can bring to their clinic. IndeVets operates in all Eastern and Central time zones. Not in your area yet? We're growing every day and would love to build out a team around you. Interested in becoming an IndeVet?
