Friends - My team and I are gratified by the amazing number of responses we have already received to our survey posted earlier (link below). Your feedback is invaluable in helping us design a Mental Health App that truly reflects people’s needs. Recently, a well-meaning friend expressed discomfort about posting this survey to a LinkedIn group he administers. He was concerned it might imply that participants have a “mental issue” and would need to explain how they deal with it. While I was initially taken aback by his response, I reflected on it and came to understand his discomfort. This incident underscores the persistent social stigma around mental health, even today. Mental health and wellness are arguably the most important aspects of our lives, impacting every single realm. Don’t just take my word for it—ask the U.S. Surgeon General or review leading reports and statistics from the WHO and other authorities on this topic. This exchange validated and reinforced my belief in the need for discrete, compassionate, and scientifically backed mental wellness solutions, which we are striving to provide through our Mobile App. If you haven’t had the chance to fill out the survey and would like to participate, please click on the link below.
