On July 14, 1965, Congress passed the Older Americans Act (OAA) 🧓 👵 to respond to growing concerns regarding the lack of social, economic, and nutritional services for older persons. Through this legislation, the Administration on Aging (AoA) was assigned the main administrator of grant programs and currently serves as the federal entity advocating for older person’s needs. The OAA supports multiple programs and services, including health 🩺 and wellness 🏃♀️ programs, in-home care 🦽, home-delivered meals 🥗, and caregiver support 👐. Team IEM is committed to creating solutions that positively impact and benefit all marginalized and vulnerable populations in our nation, including older adults 💪.
