Using these stoves, which generate data-verifiable carbon credits, will boost #climateresilience and improve women’s health. With partners like Schneider Electric Energy Access Asia and Spark+ Africa Fund, we're driving scalable, sustainable change. Powering entrepreneurs to end poverty.
About us
iDE is a global development organization that co-creates with foundations, governments, individuals, for-profits, and nonprofits to develop lasting solutions to poverty. We design and deliver market-based solutions in Agriculture and WASH in 11 countries across Asia, Africa, and Central America. Much more than a collection of technologies and field offices, we are a globally integrated ecosystem of nearly 1,000 staff, passionate about innovation and entrepreneurism. The bottom line is improving the lives of our clients: the rural farmers and small businesses that are among the world’s poorest. The impact we report is rooted in reality and the data is readily available to anyone. This is our method of ensuring that the investments—in money and in time—made by our donors, the rural entrepreneurs we are working with, the customers they are serving, and our staff are having real impact.

Exciting milestone! The Smart Mushroom project, funded by the Paul Polak Innovation Fund, has won 2nd place for Social Impact at the Core77 Design Awards! 🏆 Kudos to Fatima Shehata and the Mushroom team for their incredible work. This project is boosting rural entrepreneur livelihoods in Cambodia, making a real difference. With the support of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Würth Elektronik Group, and our local Cambodian mushroom farmers, we have developed, refined, tested, and improved our mushroom environmental system, which automatically measures and controls key parameters of the mushroom growing environment: humidity, carbon dioxide, and light intensity. Check out our honoree page and leave a comment to congratulate the Cambodia team: https://lnkd.in/gr__JTFt #iDE #Core77Awards #SocialImpact #SustainableDevelopment #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #Cambodia

Today, we honor the resilience and innovation of Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) around the world. At iDE, we're dedicated to empowering these enterprises through market-based solutions that drive economic growth and uplift communities. By supporting MSMEs, we create jobs, boost local economies, and foster sustainable development. Notably, women own about one-third of small business globally, highlighting the critical role of gender equity in economic growth!
