About us

Idaho Department of Correction's mission is to create a model correctional system that provides equitable access to programming and opportunities that reflect a community experience, foster connections and restore victims of crime. IDOC is responsible for the incarceration and community supervision of felony residents and clients in Idaho. The department operates nine prisons, six community re-entry centers and 7 probation and parole offices throughout the state. We VALUE integrity, respect and positive attitude and ENVISION a safer Idaho with fewer people in its correctional system.
