We are honored to have hosted Philadelphia Mayor, Cherelle Parker, and Acting Secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Adrianne Todman, at our newest affordable housing community, Janney Apartments, for their press conference today. During the press conference they announced the awarding of $85M in grant funding across the country through the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) program. The city of Philadelphia received $3.3M from this funding. This grant will help lower housing costs, eliminate barriers to housing, and address local housing needs for Philadelphia.

HumanGood’s newest affordable housing community for seniors aged 62 years and older, Janney Apartments, has received their certificate of occupancy! Vidhi Anderson, VP of Development, presented at LeadingAge PA last week. Her session, "Financing and Preserving HUD Housing", utilized a case study about a 168 unit building in south west Philadelphia built three decades ago to delve into the discussion of preserving existing HUD buildings using various HUD financing.

Kendra Roberts, VP of Operations, presented at LeadingAge CA alongside colleagues from Perkins Eastman Architecture Firm. Their impactful panel, "Our People, Our Place: Cultivating Cultures of Belonging", focused on creating communities where everyone feels like they belong through design and programming.
