To thank our Horstman team for their diligent efforts in Cornerstone this past 10 weeks we had a company-wide luncheon. In conjunction with the luncheon, our team supported the local charity Jay's Juniors, founded in 2014 by Jay Towers, morning show anchor on WJBK-TV FOX 2 Detroit and host of Jay Towers in the Morning on WNIC-FM 100.3 in Detroit. Since inception, Jay’s Juniors has provided hundreds of local children with chronic or terminal illnesses, their siblings, and parents to a magical trip to Walt Disney World at Christmas each year.  Jersey Mike’s subs were on the menu, as today, 100% or their sandwich sales were donated to the Jay’s Juniors charity.   Horstman, A RENK Group Company and in the spirit of oneRENK, we support the belief that our business has a greater duty to society than just providing jobs and making a profit, by considering our environmental and social impact on society. Our contributions like our annual holiday food drive and this lunch, may seem small but they make a big difference to someone in need.   #jaytowersinthemorning #100.3wnic #iheartradio #wjbktvfox2

Every year, March is designated Women’s History Month by presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor women’s contributions in American history. Horstman would like to honor those proud and dedicated women who so honorably served in the Armed Services so that we can all be free. “American women played important roles during World War II, both at home and in uniform. Each February we take a moment to recognize African American contributions to our collective American History.  Much press is given to the many notable and important contributions from African Americans throughout this American Experience.  It is a distinguished list and we are certain no list would ever be complete.  This month we want others to know the story of Stevon A. Booker.  Most history books will not include the contributions SSGT Booker made but those who served with him know the gallantry and selfless service he displayed.   Given the service life of US heavy tracked equipment generations of soldiers to come they will know the new M10 as the Booker.  Please join us in celebrating the life and service of SSG Stevon A.
