About us
Holtec International is a global turnkey supplier of equipment and services for the Nuclear, Solar, Geothermal, and Fossil Power Generation sectors of the energy and petrochemical industry. As a fully integrated supplier, Holtec possesses in-house capabilities to design, engineer, analyze, construct, license, and deploy the technologies offered by the company; this includes technologies to manage used nuclear fuel and waste discharged from nuclear reactors and wet and dry (air cooled) heat transfer equipment for commercial power plants. Holtec is also developing a Small Modular Reactor (SMR), which will provide for modular, distributed, carbon-free, base-load energy. Holtec International’s industrial activities are principally focused on six continents: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, China, Ukraine, Canada, Mexico, the United States and Brazil are among the countries where Holtec International has provided significant goods and services. The domestic market in the United States, however, has been the catalyst for Holtec’s technical innovations in its fields of endeavor, which the company has successfully parlayed into business successes in overseas markets. Over 70% of Holtec’s output is consumed by the domestic power industry; the balance is destined for foreign markets. Holtec’s corporate moorings are firmly and deeply anchored in the power industry: Over 150 power generation stations in the U.S., including over 80 commercial nuclear power plants, have been Holtec customers over the past two decades. Holtec International has a long and excellent reputation for honesty and integrity in business dealings. This reputation is a priceless asset which must be safeguarded continually by all Holtec employees. To succeed, Holttec must have the trust and confidence of its customers, subcontractors, suppliers, fellow associates and the public. Admit Ukraine into NATO Now The NATO Summit this week in Washington DC, to celebrate the alliance’s 75th birthday, is a fitting and proper occasion to invite Ukraine to join the organization. Ukraine has made a compelling case to be accorded NATO membership after standing up to the murderous Russian regime for over two years at the cost of immense suffering to its people and enormous loss of life. Just yesterday on July 8, 2024, in an act of repulsive barbarity, Russia rained missiles on the country’s largest pediatric hospital in central Kyiv in broad day light killing and maiming children and medical staff and decimating the buildings. As the horrified world watches in dismay, Russia pummels Ukraine with impunity. We at Holtec International see Russia’s aggression through the eyes of our employees, men and women, who are fighting the invader at the front lines while their families are marooned in high rise apartment buildings when power is cut off and their local hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and power plants are being blown to pieces. The truth is that Ukrainians are dying to save the NATO states from the horror of Russia’s savagery on their territory if Ukraine were to fold. Ukraine has earned the right to join NATO. By the act of offering Ukraine membership in NATO by a fixed date in the very near future, NATO will put Mr. Putin on notice that he will not succeed in subjugating the country and knocking on the doors of Poland. Time has come to serve the notice. NATO’s leaders need to channel Churchillian resolve that the West showed when confronting the enemy in the face of Hitler’s aggression in 1939. They should not forget that history heaps scorn on a most decent man, Britain’s Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain for trying to secure peace by appeasing Adolf Hitler. - Dr. Kris Singh, CEO, Holtec International

Holtec Britain submitted our tender today for the Great British Nuclear (GBN) Small Modular Reactor competition. The Holtec SMR-300 uses PWR reactor technology, the most widely deployed technology class on the market, consistent with the existing UK nuclear ecosystem. Holtec’s innovative design will facilitate modularized construction of components in UK factories, which will be shipped to site for final assembly. Our proposal is strengthened by the collaboration with our esteemed partners, including Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.,Ltd. Holtec is uniquely positioned to serve as the vehicle for US, UK, and South Korean strategic cooperation. The stakes have never been higher for SMR-300 joint deployment to provide UK energy security. We look forward to the opportunity to partner with Great British Nuclear and to playing a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution of the UK nuclear industry.
