Congratulations to Axel Hernandez. He is April’s Employee of the Month! Axel is a Maintenance Technician II. He was nominated by his peers stating: “Axel has shown a positive attitude even when we had floods going on during the winter months. He was able to think quick on his feet while this was his first time on call for the community. The way he was able to approach the problem like it was second nature.” “Axel took the initiative during a property emergency and fielded residents and vendors in stride. He jumped right into the mix of a pipe freeze incident with six units in a mid-rise. This happened on his first month of on-call but that did not faze him in the slightest. He handled everything accordingly and really shined through that situation.” “Axel is the definition of a team player. He is dedicated, hard-working, and respectful of everyone. On multiple occasions, Axel has stepped up and gone above and beyond to get necessary work done.” “Axel has proven to be an outstanding team player. His relative lack of experience and knowledge has not hindered his performance. In the midst of the freeze and multiple broken sprinklers, his handling of the situation reflected the expertise of a seasoned professional. At one point, he even had to crawl to navigate the icy sidewalks to reach a resident's unit.” “Axel always has a positive attitude and is always helping whoever he can.” “Axel is an outstanding team player. She keeps us on track and is upbeat spirits with her amazing superstar attitude and laughter and has worked hard to solidify us as a team with policy infrastructure and fun team-building activities. She's the best and we would be lost without her. Ashley symbolizes daily every core value of HNN. Ashley has shown she is a team player within her department, as well as with every employee she is in contact with. Ashley takes responsibility for providing quality work and showing commitment throughout by assisting those in need and going above and beyond the call. She is innovative in finding new ways to assist those to be better employees while being respectful and committed to ensuring they have the knowledge they need while taking the time to be supportive and to inspire while providing motivation. Ashley is our go to person who is always available, cheerful, and willing to lend a helping hand. Ashley is always ready to help assist the compliance dept, but also gives site staff guidance and assistance that is needed with the smartsheet! She's the best at always being positive! Ashley is a great example of ‘Be One Team.’ She is always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone find their answers, or solutions. She takes great pride in helping site members at different properties network with each other and open communication lanes to work through tasks together to achieve success. Ashley goes above and beyond to make sure the Senior Compliance Team is informed and up to date on policies and procedures when they change. Ashley is reliable and respectful to our team. Ashley manages her onsite compliance team all while making sure Corporate Compliance is running smoothly. Ashley always goes the extra mile to help everyone in our department and outside our department. Ashley Evans exemplifies the values of HNN. Ashley brings strong assets to the role and our group. She is dedicated and hardworking, extremely organized, and is always willing to assist anyone in need of additional support. Congratulations to Ronald Davis. He is February’s Employee of the Month! Ronald is a Maintenance Technician II. He was nominated by his peers stating: “Ronald has only been with HNN for a few short months but has shown great strengths in his work ethic and being a team player. He recently was on call for our 4 major leaks and had over 20 hours of overtime on Firewatch. He was happy to help and always had a smile on his face.” “Ronald always goes above and beyond to help out and to provide stellar customer service. He is eager to learn as much as possible and has such a positive attitude with a ‘can do’ response. During the recent cold storm, his property encountered many frozen pipes that burst, and his Maintenance Supervisor was on PTO/out of the state. Ronald was the first to respond, putting in endless hours (over 20 hours OT that week) and keeping everybody up to date with progress and concerns. During the midst of this chaos, he had to have a tooth pulled and he went and did that and rushed back to work, suffering thru the pain and picking up right where he left off. He didn’t skip a beat and really stepped up and stepped out in the absence of his Maintenance Supervisor and with minimal instruction. Ronald brought in his personal equipment to assist with water extraction while we awaited vendors to arrive on site to extract the water from units impacted. Ronald is a valuable employee and such a team player who we are honored to have on our team. He has continued to work on resolving the impacted units and seeing this through to the end. Aside from the floods, while down a cleaner at Mill Pointe, he stepped up and took on all cleaning duties while still tackling his own job responsibilities.”
