Highland Planning Helps to Shape $26.3 Regional Revitalization Partnership in Rochester 🌇 We’re proud to share Highland Planning’s key role in developing the investment strategy for Rochester’s $26.3 million allocation of the Regional Revitalization Partnership (RRP), a transformative public-private collaboration that Governor Hochul announced this week. 🤝 In partnership with ROC2025, our team led the process to solicit and evaluate projects, advise the implementation team and advisory committee, and craft a portfolio of 13 catalytic initiatives. These initial projects will strategically invest in small businesses, placemaking, and workforce development in Rochester’s underserved neighborhoods. 💼🏘️👥 The RRP exemplifies the power of aligning resources across sectors to maximize impact and build community wealth holistically and sustainably. Highland Planning in the News: Rochester's Urban Forest is Growing! 🌳 🌳 We're thrilled to share that Elizabeth Podowski King, PLA, AICP, has been leading the public engagement plan for the City of Rochester's Urban Forest Master Plan Update. The City has just released a draft of the updated Master Plan, which includes planting 6,000 new trees in underserved neighborhoods. Our team has been working hard to ensure that community input is a key aspect of the City's forestry initiatives and is included in the draft plan.
