Welcome to 2024! Thanks to our team and amazing community of patients, clinicians, and technologists, 2023 was a milestone year in our effort to transform mental healthcare and improve patient lives. And today, we are thrilled to announce a major inflection point in our journey: Starting this month, Innerwell is offering in-network care with 6 insurance partners in California and New York. We are now in network with Blue Shield California, Aetna, Anthem, Optum CA, Magellan, and Optum NY – reaching over 18 million lives. This is a tremendous step forward in helping the 65 million Americans who have mental illness each year. And we expect to further expand coverage in 2024. Reflecting on 2023, I am proud to share a few highlights: *Over 2,000 patients have improved their lives with Innerwell, with nearly 87% reporting improvements in depression and anxiety within 4 weeks. *Our treatments are more accessible than ever, with services now available for over 60% of Americans as we have grown from two to 17 states. * We launched the first iteration of our patient mental health platform. Our patients have tracked and reported mood, symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, and their response to treatment, with nearly 40,000 patient assessments completed to date – vital information that can supercharge health optimization decisions. *We expanded our treatment options to include general psychiatry, EMDR, and general psychotherapy, delivered in-person or via telehealth. With this strong foundation in place, we are looking ahead to 2024 with two areas of focus: We are further expanding insurance coverage for our personalized, lifesaving treatments. We expect to cover 50 million people, including in California, New York, Texas, and Washington, by the end of the first quarter. We are launching our patient platform 2.0, using AI to supercharge patient outcomes. With the next iteration of our patient platform, we are setting out to do something nobody has done before: Combine the best of clinical care, including a modern understanding of novel medicines, with the best in technology-driven patient-facing care. We know the value in bringing these disciplines together, and the next evolution of our platform will continue to develop treatment regimens that work and, most importantly, last. Our platform 2.0 beta experience will include everything you expect from Innerwell: Thoughtful, personalized technology specifically focused on helping patients break the cycle of inactivity and isolation that goes hand in hand with depression and anxiety. We’re using machine learning and a proprietary coaching framework to help patients build and sustain the healthy habits needed to support mental health in their daily lives while giving clinicians powerful new tools. I am thrilled to share Innerwell’s revolutionary new partnership with Enthea, a benefits plan administrator, which will enable employers to offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) as a benefit to their employees. KAP is a novel, evidence-based approach to mental health treatment that has been demonstrated to relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. We’re proud to be part of a community building a safe and responsible ecosystem for KAP, a vision shared by Sherry Rais and her team at Enthea. Since launching last November, Innerwell has expanded its clinical services to 14 (soon to be 15!) states. These growth milestones represent an extraordinary effort from our incredible team of clinicians, designers, engineers, and builders. They also give me a reason to reflect on what we’ve built and where we’re headed. ❤️ In less than ten months, we’ve treated over 1,000 patients and collected over 10,000 HEDIS and Mood measures. Our patients are demonstrating rapid, substantial, and sustained decreases in depression and anxiety. More than a stat, we’re also hearing from patients (and sometimes their families) that our care — i.e., our team and platform - is making a difference in their lives. We’ve automated the collection of self-reported data, and we listen and respond to patient signals, delivering extra clinical support when warranted and providing non-clinical coaching as needed. 📱 We’ve built a suite of digital tools to not only guide and monitor patients through their healing journey but also to enable their clinical team to deliver collaborative, data-informed care.
