We’re excited to announce the launch of our pilot Request For Proposal (RFP) process to increase insight into grant-giving transparency and community collaboration within the #Hedera ecosystem. We're starting with two RFPs for lending markets to meet specific ecosystem needs and developer teams everywhere are invited to apply. On this month's #MeetTheTeam, the HBAR team is thrilled to introduce you to its exceptional Marketing Manager, Marko Knezic We've had the pleasure of asking him some questions about his role at HBAR. ✨ Where are you based? Home base is the Monaco of the midwest (Milwaukee) and will also be spending a few months in Mexico City this fall - if you’re in either spot and want to nerd out about HBAR, hit me up!     ✨ What is your background? On my computer desktop, it's my dog - but professionally, I’ve a Journalism degree and  have been a marketer for about 15 years working both as part of an agency team and as in-house marketing director for a few fintechs. To quote Billy Joel, when I wore a younger man’s clothes I also spent some time in Hollywood trying to learn the art of screenwriting, which still informs a lot of my creative process today.   Ultimately, I’m a bit of a jack-of-all trades with intermediate skills in design, video editing, data analysis, etc. but I’d say my primary disciplines are brand development, copywriting, and public relations. ✨ What is your role at HBAR? Give us a day in the life! I’ve been a Marketing Manager with HBAR for just over a year and really love it. On any given day I’ll get to use the breadth of my skill set to create, strategize, and execute marketing initiatives for The Foundation and in collaboration with our partners which is great because it affords the opportunity to use a wide breadth of skills and keeps things fresh. Tactically, this could manifest as blog writing, designing our monthly ezine, coordinating with grantees, creating presentation decks, video editing, or campaign development – to name a few things that have been keeping me busy lately. ✨ What do you like most about working at HBAR? Getting the opportunity to chat with people across the Hedera ecosystem. Whether I’m conversing with colleagues or grantee project leads, getting to know nice, sharp people from all over the world on a daily basis is really fulfilling, professionally and personally. ✨ If you could win an award for anything at work, what would it be? Hmm, I always try to make myself available as a reliable resource to everyone across the org who might need a hand with anything marketing related. Haha, I’m not sure if that should qualify for an award so much as it’s just an intrinsic part of doing my job BUT I do hope that being ready to support the team at a moment’s notice if needed helps to make everyone’s work life a little easier.

GM Vietnam 2024!! 🇻🇳 First time joining GM Vietnam and got to know more and more about how Vietnam has been the top attraction for - 1) the protocols for their ecosystem expansion, 2) projects to expand their user base as Vietnam is one of the top countries in digital assets investment, 3) VCs and investors to explore potential investment opportunities, 4) the Web3 community and builders to expand their network, 5) the startup projects to share ideas and explore further use cases from a variety of projects and protocols. This time, the areas of the project focus are in RWA, DePIN, DeFi, and Gaming, and we particularly see that projects in different industries are trying to find potential use cases for integration. Marjorie serves as a vital mentor to the team, guiding the team toward its strategic goals and ensuring our collective momentum remains strong 💪 ✦ Marjorie is based in New Jersey, USA 🇺🇸 ✦ When we asked Marjorie what she liked most about the HBAR Team, she responded, “The ability to work with individuals who are really driven to accelerate the growth of our ecosystem. I am really inspired by the work that is being done here”. ✦ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝? My background is a blend of mainly technology and operational leadership experience within high-growth organizations. She has served as a trusted partner to executives and senior teams, driving value across the chain of business operations, from client engagement to key financial metrics, strategic planning, and program development. ✦ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞? As the Chief of Staff to the CEO, my role ecompasses enabling strategic initiatives, leading special projects, and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement across the organization. My day is a dynamic blend of data analysis, building strategic alignment, and driving operational excellence. The role is very much centered around efficient execution through influencing and relationship building. I work closely with the executive team to align on key priorities and objectives. I lead task forces and special projects, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal outcomes. While most chiefs of staff are lone wolves, I also head up the ops and data excellence team, where we run high-level programs,gather and analyze relevant data to identify trends and generate insights to support evidence-based decision-making at the executive level. Outside of that, I enjoy coaching and providing guidance and support. I also very much enjoy leveraging my creative skills to create fun and engaging programs that create valuable experiences and maintain a sense of community across the HBAR Team. 𝐓𝐋;𝐃𝐑: I serve as a listening board and am constantly in idea generation mode, whether in collaboration with others or having individual ah ha! moments. ✦ 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞? Mentorship and Creativity: I am really committed to sharing knowledge in support of the growth and development of others.
