Today we’re excited to announce that Emilie Dellecker has been appointed as Executive Director of Hack to continue to drive our mission of building the worlds most impactful climate tech community. Emilie co-founded the HackGroup in 2018 and has been the driving force behind our annual HackSummit in Lausanne and the local HackCommunities which are now active in 48 cities globally. A biologist by training, climate and conservation has always been a big part of Emilie’s life - from her first job interning at the Zoology museum in Lausanne to her time at WWF and The Luc Hoffman institute where she developed her keen interest and network for early stage startups. “Now more than ever I think it’s important that Hack exists to foster the global climate tech community. Over the last year we’ve doubled our reach, expanded into the US and MENA and have made a real impact on the members of our community to help drive their businesses forward. I’m incredibly excited to work with our talented team to continue to drive Hack’s mission.” A Valaisan local, Emilie today lives a short distance away from her childhood home in the foothills of the Swiss mountains together with her family and their dog, cats, and chickens. In her free time, Emilie can often be found hiking or nature watching in the mountains behind her home or practicing the cello for the occasional performances with local bands.
