ICYMI: Business Insider named GrowthLoop's John Villarraga as one of their 33 Rising Stars of Adtech! Business Insider’s Rising Stars of Adtech were chosen for their impact on solving some of digital advertising’s toughest challenges (like the death of third-party cookies) with groundbreaking solutions. As a senior software engineer, John works on products building the tech stack that combines the #DataCloud and #AI. He's helped engineer the tech behind Marve, our AI-powered audience-building tool that uses natural language models to accelerate audience ideation and segmentation. Looking ahead, John is focused on finding more ways to employ natural language tools across the marketing and advertising cycle. We're incredibly proud and grateful for John's talents and the work he's done to create more powerful tools for our clients. Congratulations, John! We can't wait to see what you do next. 🚀 Read more about Business Insider’s rising stars: https://lnkd.in/gM9VFX6t #BusinessInsider #AdTech #RisingStars

Marques Brownlee recently published a video that piqued my attention. In it, he discusses whether AI works better as a standalone product or a feature in a more robust tool that provides other offerings. He leans more toward the latter – and I tend to agree with him. From what I’ve already seen, I think AI will become so mainstream that we’ll see it integrated into every product – from our business communication tools to our personal phones and everything in between. We’re already starting to see that convergence after Apple’s WWDC announcements and with many tools like Grammarly, Canva, and even LinkedIn implementing AI features. In contrast, tools like Rabbit or Humane have had challenges because they prioritized building a standalone product rather than augmenting an existing tool. At GrowthLoop, rather than pivoting our strategy to offering an AI product, we carefully evaluated how we could work AI-powered features into our tools. This helped us build our #NaturalLanguage audience-building tool, Marve, which enhances, rather than replaces, our #ComposableCDP technology. What do you think – does AI work better as a product or a feature? Let me know in the comments 👇 https://buff.ly/3zp5Rcx #GenerativeAI #ArtificialIntelligence

Many marketers only think about #genAI in terms of content creation. But we should be talking about how it can impact #marketing as a whole — including workflows and campaigns. This approach is what we call generative marketing. By integrating AI from audience segmentation through campaign measurement, we can shorten the length of the marketing loop and create more effective customer journeys. Learn more about implementing generative marketing in my full conversation with Scott Brinker at chiefmartec.com: https://buff.ly/4btA7jU #martech #marketing

Unifying data in a central source (like a cloud data warehouse) will be the key to success for AI models. "If we don’t have clean and complete data flowing to these models, they will literally lack the intelligence to make good decisions and deliver rational outcomes." Digging into the State of Martech 2024, this unified data layer is becoming more common among marketing professionals: 71% of martech and marketing ops professionals have integrated a data warehouse/lake with their martech stack, with 69% enabling bidirectional data flow. Are you unifying your data to support smarter, more effective AI models, or does it remain siloed and disjointed? Read more great insight from Scott Brinker 👉 https://lnkd.in/gCab5r7G #AI #Martech #DataLayer

The new data layer in martech has taken hold as the foundation upon which marketing AI will be built. 71% of savvy martech and marketing ops pros in our State of Martech 2024 report say they have already integrated a data warehouse/data lake with their martech stack. 61% of them have more than half of their martech apps integrated with it. This architecture breaks us out of the hell of a hundred siloed app databases that has been the greatest pain point of heterogeneous tech stacks for the past decade. All of the data across marketing — and other relevant departments, such as product, sales, and customer service — is aggregated into the warehouse/lakehouse, where it becomes accessible to any app within your stack. The apps that are going to have the most fun with this? The new generation of AI co-pilots and agents that are swiftly emerging. Full article: https://lnkd.in/e6Fnx5Vu #martech

As the digital landscape shifts with Google's plan to (inevitably) phase out third-party cookies by 2024 plus new privacy regulations, marketers must adapt. This change impacts Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and marketing efficiency, especially for those relying on programmatic retargeting. But there's a solution... Save (and protect) your marketing budget by analyzing the entire visitor journey, reducing ad spend on identity retrieval, and shielding data from ad blockers. This results in more accurate data, advanced retargeting capabilities, and better overall ad decisions. Our latest guide, "Optimizing Your ROAS in a Cookieless Future," reveals how a modern solution can save you potentially millions in wasted ad spend. In this guide, you'll learn: • What is the "cookiepocalypse" and how does it relate to ROAS? • Alternative data collection methods • Five steps for maximizing ROAS with GrowthLoop and MetaRouter • Example use cases for improving ROAS in a cookieless world Download the full guide here: https://lnkd.in/eVSXyUTQ #DigitalMarketing #ROAS #CustomerData #MarTech #AdTech
