In addition to addressing food insecurity in a rual parish we also provided the youth in the community with a back to school book bag giveaway! This year, we did something special to mark Goodr Day!💚✨ For those who may not know, Goodr received a proclamation in 2019 from the now Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens recognizing our impactful work within the community. To celebrate, we delivered 711 meal packs (2133 meals) to youth centers, seniors, and more. We also teamed up with Shipt earlier in the week to host a pop-up grocery store, giving 150 families a week's worth of FREE groceries. Atlanta means everything to us. We've provided millions of meals, diverted food from landfills, and recycled tons of organic waste. Thank you, Atlanta, for believing in us and supporting our mission. Honoring Juneteenth with purpose and passion! ✨ This Saturday, Hormel Foods (BLAACK Business Resource Group) teamed up with us to sponsor a Snackpack event. Snackpacks are one of our Hunger Solutions aimed at providing snack and easy meal options for kids facing gaps in food access. The Hormel team assembled 500 snackpacks for dReam Center Church of Atlanta, spreading joy and nourishment to the local community. "We chose to partner with GOODR because they are a diverse company that is ensuring that hungry children in our community have access to healthy meals and snacks. To honor Juneteenth, we wanted to do something impactful to celebrate!" - Cedric Moore

Today, Goodr proudly honors #Juneteenth, marking the emancipation of the last enslaved Black individuals in the U.S. We celebrate the lives of those who paved the way for today’s freedoms. Jasmine Crowe-Houston took the stage at #CventCONNECT to share how the #MeetingsAndEvents industry can fight hunger and reduce food insecurity in their communities. Her passion for social entrepreneurship resonated with everyone and left us all inspired and motivated.
