Every once in a while, you see a photo that touches your soul. An image that literally reaches into you and grabs your heart. This photo is worth so much more than just a thousand words. It's every child who has ever lost a parent in the line of duty. It's every little boy and girl who has ever kissed their mommy or daddy goodbye... and been afraid they'd never see them again. It's every parent that said goodbye to their child for the last time... and didn't know it. My wife and I didn't buy what's become the largest police news outlet in the world to make money. Heck - we continue to pour the remainder of our family savings into it every single month, because these images... these lives... these stories... MUST be shared. We did it to give a voice to those who serve our communities and our country. But we also did it to give a voice to their children... and to the children who they protect every single day. We are the parents of four little girls. We are Christians. We have allowed God to guide all of our decisions - from the purchase of the company to how we run our lives and raise our family. Goodbye Non-Compete Agreements & Hello Prosperity! The FTC under the Biden Administration closed the period for Public Comments on the subject of Non-Compete Agreements last April. It is expected to issue a final ruling in April 2024 and the consensus is that Non-Competes are on their way out. Originally drafted for big-time earners like multi-million dollar Television Producers and Movie Stars, they now affect some 30 million Americans and everyday earners like entry-level $60,000 Industrial Sales Reps. Got a good reputation as a solid performer and an offer to make $70,000 per year from a competing firm? Sorry, you can’t accept it! You cannot improve the standard of living for your family by going to work for the competitor. In fact, most Non-Competes include caustic clauses that say even if the Employer fires the Employee for any reason whatsoever including termination for convenience, that the Employee cannot go work for a Competitor for one to two years! For comparison, imagine if they used Non-Compete Agreements in the NFL. Half of the best football Players on the Planet would be sitting on the sidelines unable to go to work for another team. Football would be pretty dismal. Instead, there’s a feisty trade of top players and the whole sport is continually made better and more exciting! It’s time to get rid of Non-Compete Agreements and make US industry more competitive and more fruitful. Hello Prosperity!
