I’ve been talking about elder fraud lately as it’s a problem that’s on the rise. Elder fraud is often discussed as scammers preying on seniors to steal their money or sensitive information, but a lesser-known type of exploitation of our elders is elder theft. Elder theft is more insidious as it often involves someone the senior knows and trusts, a caregiver or a family member, that takes advantage of their proximity to steal from them.    I spoke with WCMH-TV, NBC4, nbc4i.com about the detrimental impacts of elder theft, and how it impacted my own life when the caregiver we hired for my mother stole thousands of dollars.       Unfortunately, my story is not unusual, which is why I feel so strongly about spreading awareness of elder exploitation and identity protection so that you can protect your loved ones from falling victim. Had I known about LifeLock, it would have provided my family with a way to monitor and protect sensitive information so my family wasn’t the only line of defense. Please check out the story to learn more about how to vet caregivers safely and what to do to prevent loved ones’ sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands. https://lnkd.in/g-2gTku7

DTS takes Berlin! 💪 Our Digital Trust Services team had a strong presence at Europe’s largest identity event: European Identity & Cloud Conference. We presented 6 sessions, including a keynote on our work with eIDAS and the EU’s digital identity wallet initiative. Proud to see some of our work coming to fruition!
