Public Transit Colleagues - The submission period for the 2024 Transit Data Challenge has officially opened! We’re excited to be back for our seventh year in this lively and engaging event for the transit data community at Transportation Research Board’s Annual Meeting. Have you or your team developed an innovative tool or method that effectively uses, analyzes, or displays data to improve public transit? We encourage you to submit! Selected finalists will present at the TRB Annual Meeting (early January 2025 in Washington, DC) in front of a judging panel and session attendees. Judges will announce a winner at the end. The Transit Data Challenge’s goal is to spread great ideas, build visibility, and make TRB more accessible to a wider range of people. Delighted to share that I am heading back to Foothill Transit as their next Director of Customer Service and Operations. I previously worked at Foothill for several years and I am always impressed by their leadership and innovation in the public transit industry. I look forward to leading the talented people in the Customer Service and Operations Department and help the organization continue going good places. Thank you City of Culver City and City of Santa Monica for the wonderful opportunities and experiences provided over the last five and a half years.
