RMC Highlights: Industry Collaboration for a Sustainable Food Future https://lnkd.in/euZtJpnD I’m not a meat scientist, so the American Meat Science Association’s (AMSA) Reciprocal Meat Conference (RMC) may seem like an odd place to find me at first glance, but as a member of FPSA’s staff, I’m always happy to learn more about what’s new in the sectors of the food and beverage industry we proudly serve. In addition to top-notch meat science, the conference showcased the interconnectedness of food and beverage production. Sustainability, traceability, and the future of the workforce were hot topics at RMC because they are critical issues for meat production…and everyone else operating in the global food chain. They’re big challenges to take on, but the hard-working people in agriculture and industry have never been short on ingenuity and dedication. AMSA brought in experts, including a few members they share with FPSA, who are focused on understanding the scope of the challenges and finding solutions. READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/euZtJpnD

Happy #MemberMonday - In this week's edition, FPSA's Heather Davis sat down with Nyle Dehydrators Jeremy Howard to discuss how the company committed to sustainability in dehydration technology. Jeremy discusses how they design efficient industrial dehydrators and dryers for food processing and agriculture. With a history of focusing on reducing carbon footprint since 1977, Nyle also emphasizes customer support to help businesses achieve their goals. Their solar-powered facility exemplifies their dedication to transitioning industries to more sustainable practices. About Nyle Dehydrators: Nyle Systems is a growing, innovative company that develops, manufactures, and sells heat pump-driven, energy-saving products, including industrial equipment for food dehydration. Nyle firmly believes in the need to build a more sustainable future, including the urgent need to reduce emissions. To switch from fossil fuels to electricity based on renewables, the world requires the electrification of many processes, and that is where Nyle focuses. Chevron Deference Ruling Impact's blog and 2 PM ET Webinar Today by Natalie Rainer's Firm - K&L Gates: https://lnkd.in/euhPmqMt
As part of the FPSA Food Safety Network, we're monitoring an upcoming Supreme Court ruling that could change how we navigate FSMA regulations. The big issue on our radar is Chevron Deference. Currently, the FDA wields significant authority in interpreting and enforcing FSMA through Chevron deference. This means courts generally back the FDA’s interpretations of FSMA as long as they’re reasonable. But if the Supreme Court decides to dial back or scrap Chevron Deference altogether, it opens the floodgates to new challenges for FSMA regulations. Here’s what’s at stake: https://lnkd.in/ejEEW2P2 #foodsafety #fpsa #foodprocessing #fda
