We couldn't have phrased it better! #repost Don't miss Rough Draft Atlanta's coverage of A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature -- the impressive, immersive exhibit at #Fernbank this summer. 👀 Read the full article (below) ⬇ ...and learn more about our newest special exhibit here: https://bit.ly/fbmirror
Exhibits form the backbone of our programming at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Not only are the exhibits fun but they are also chock full of learning opportunities for all ages. Our newest exhibit, Mirror Maze-Numbers in Nature, is no exception. This interactive exhibit helps reveal the mathematical patterns hiding in plain sight throughout the natural world. Seeing and understanding these patterns can help us discover how the world works. And, for parents like me trying to keep their student’s mind sharp over the summer, this exhibit connects the dots from what they learned in math class to our daily lives. Math does matter. Come explore and ignite your curiosity. #steam #atlworldofwow #education #fernbank #fernbankmuseum

It was an honor to host Dr. Ayanna Howard, Dean of the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University, at Fernbank Museum of Natural History earlier this week for a special screening of our newest giant screen movie, Superhuman Body: World of Medical Marvels. Dr. Howard is featured in the movie, and her work is not only improving lives but also helping us better understand our planet. This inspirational movie (from MacGillivray Freeman Films) is a great reminder that science helps us make sense of the world around us; science drives innovation and ingenuity; and, science provides hope for the future. Special thanks to Host Committee Chairs, Drs. Kevin E. Woods, MD, MPH and Kalinda Woods, MD, FACOG, for bringing people together for this discussion exploring the intersection of science, technology and medicine and what that means for our future. Superhuman Body is now playing daily on our schedule and is not to be missed! #stem #science #scienceandnature #fernbankmuseum #atlworldofwow

BIG energy at Fernbank welcoming field trips this week as we strive to make a BIG impact with students. Field trips to Fernbank bring science and nature to life like no other. In 2023, we welcomed nearly 50,000 students as part of a field trip, representing nearly 500 schools and community organizations from across the state. Our Museum Access Scholarship Fund made the experience possible for nearly ¼ of these students. Our 120+ acre campus and the programs we offer help inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators and stewards of the natural world. Seeing and hearing these students light up when they first see the Giganotosaurus or explore the great outdoors in Fernbank Forest never gets old. And, it’s never mattered more. #STEM #science #scienceeducation #sciencendnature #fernbankmuseum #atlworldofwow
