Since 2018, the Swiss Payment Monitor examined the payment behavior of the Swiss . Among others, the results demonstrated that: • The average amount of cash the Swiss carry on them and/or keep in their homes is increasing significantly. • 29% of daily payments are made in cash vs debit card (27%) or credit card (18%). • 62% of survey participants disapproved the potential of eliminating cash.
