Please join us in congratulating ERT's latest #employeeofthemonth, Larnita Parker-Faison! Larnita is a Systems Administrator providing maintenance support for NOAA's Geostationary Observational Environmental Satellite R Series (GOES-R). She was recently recognized for her timely intervention in troubleshooting a failed motherboard on a critical Hypervisor server. This is just one of many examples of the hard work and dedication Larnita exhibits to support the GOES-R program. From staying on top of hardware needs to driving over 45 minutes in the rain to help resolve the user’s access issue, Larnita's commitment is commendable. Thank you, Larnita!

Thank you to all ERT's dedicated staff supporting the GOES-U satellite mission this week! #GOES-U, the final addition to the GOES-R series, will provide advanced imagery and atmospheric measurements, real-time mapping of lightning activity, and monitoring of space weather. Our teams at the NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) are working around the clock this week to ensure a smooth transition for GOES-U into operational status. I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Executive Officer at ERT, Inc.! I was blessed with an invaluable 25 years at ICF, which allowed me to work closely with many amazing professionals that challenged and inspired me every day. I learned so much, developed lifelong friendships, and had the opportunity to contribute to many impactful projects for incredible clients. My career wouldn’t be what it is without all of the opportunities provided to me at ICF. But I’ve come to the point in my career where I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone and take on some new challenges. Over the last few months, I’ve spent time with many impressive leaders in our market and had the chance to really consider where I wanted to go next with my career. In the end, it was clear to me that I wanted to get back to working at the intersection of science, engineering and technology. This all has led me to ERT. I’m humbled by the opportunity to lead this incredible group of professionals as we embark on the next phase of their growth journey. Jingli and Peter have built an amazing company and I couldn’t be more excited to pick up the baton and build on their hard work.

A warm congratulations to ERT, Inc.'s latest #employeeofthemonth Joe Zhou! Joe joined ERT in 2010 as a Senior Computer System Analyst and has been supporting ERT's growing IT needs for the past 14 years. As the company has expanded over the past several years, his small IT department of 2 has stayed the same. Joe has taken on increasing workloads to ensure ERT's staff have access to all required corporate and government systems. On top of his system/network admin and webmaster duties, Joe actively participates in improving company-wide communication efforts and always approaches his work with a cheerful, collaborative attitude. Thanks for all you do, Joe!

Today, we are excited to announce ERT, Inc.'s official partnership with Macquarie Group / Macquarie Capital. Over the past 30 years, ERT's founders Peter Li and Jingli Yang, together with ERT's leadership and management team, have worked tirelessly to build up the company from a handful of researchers and geologists into the strong, diverse, and talented workforce of almost 600 employees that ERT boasts today. Macquarie's investment in ERT marks a new chapter for the company as we continue to provide the same level of excellence and support to our trusted customers and partners while expanding our capabilities into new areas.
