Penobscot Job Corps Center students are baking the world a better place in their first Maine Whoopie Pie Festival. Their "Grandma's Favorite Carrot Cake" took 2nd place in the Best Flavored Whoopie Pie category, while the team was awarded 3rd as Best New Bakers at the Festival. Taking their skills from their culinary training to the local community has been a sweet way to showcase their talents and enthusiasm. Way to keep your eyes on the pies! #WeChangeLives #CareersBeginHere #NationalCulinaryArtsMonth https://lnkd.in/eDBH7Xqy

Rochelle is celebrating #PrideMonth, sharing her thoughts on what it means for her to be an LGBTQ+ ally, as Regional Director and Chair of Equus' Equity Council. “Until you tell me your story, I’m not going to assume your story for you. That has been great for me personally, professionally… because I think it opens the door for individuals to be transparent and bring things to me that they might not bring to others. I am very proud to serve as the Chair of our Equity Council at Equus. In my mind, no one should have to change who they are to come to work. We want all of our employees to feel like they can be their authentic selves, embrace their identity on all levels each and every day."
