📢 New Study Alert 📢 Is there a potential risk of vision loss with Semaglutide? 👁️ A new study shows that patients taking Semaglutide may have a higher risk of developing a rare eye disorder that can cause blindness. 📊 Among Type 2 Diabetes patients, 8.9% on semaglutide developed NAION compared to 1.8% on other meds. For overweight/obese patients, it was 6.7% on semaglutide vs. 0.8% on other treatments. 📉 Following the study, shares of Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly dropped nearly 3% and 1%, respectively. While the study suggests a link between semaglutide and NAION, it doesn't prove causation. This isn't the first controversy for obesity drugs; previous reports suggested links to suicidal thoughts, although the FDA found no evidence supporting this. Here are interesting findings from a new study on Garlic use for Blood Sugar and Cholesterol! ⬇️ 🧄 Garlic significantly reduced fasting blood glucose (FBG) by an average of 7.01 mg/dL and HbA1c by 0.66%. 🩺 Garlic decreased total cholesterol (TC) by 14.17 mg/dL and LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) by 8.20 mg/dL. This was especially true for people with high blood sugar. 🩺Evening exercise showed the best results for improving blood sugar levels, proving that when you exercise matters as much as how much you exercise. 👩⚕️ Doing moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) in the evening can be more effective for managing blood sugar levels in adults with overweight or obesity and metabolic issues. This study shows that not only staying active but also timing your workouts can greatly improve blood sugar control. Evening workouts seem to have a significant impact, especially for those with metabolic problems. This can be a good recommendation for people with diabetes or elevated glucose levels. However, it’s also important to combine exercise with healthy diet and proper sleep hygiene for the best long-term results. While the results are promising, remember that the study was observational, so it can't prove cause and effect. More research with larger groups is needed to confirm these findings.
