El Museo del Barrio, New York’s leading Latino cultural institution, welcomes visitors of all backgrounds to discover the artistic landscape of Latino, Caribbean, and Latin American cultures. Their richness is represented in El Museo’s wide-ranging collections and critically acclaimed exhibitions, complemented by film, literary, visual and performing arts series, cultural celebrations, and educational programs. El Museo del Barrio is located at 1230 Fifth Avenue at 104 Street in New York City. Hours are Tuesday though Saturday, 11am. to 6pm. Admission is suggested.

She officially assumed the new role on July 1, 2024, succeeding María Eugenia Maury, whose incredible dedication has been pivotal to El Museo's success over the past eight years.     Announcing ‘Flow States - LA TRIENAL’ We are excited to announce our second large-scale survey of Latinx contemporary art, ‘Flow States - LA TRIENAL,’ opening on October 10, 2024! ‘Flow States - LA TRIENAL’ will feature 33 participating artists working across the United States, Puerto Rico, and for the first time, extending into new geographies that reflect the complexities of diasporic flows. The exhibition is organized by El Museo del Barrio’s chief curator Rodrigo Moura, curator Susanna V. Temkin, and guest curator Maria Elena Ortiz.     Exciting News! 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that we have been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Project award! The grant will suport LA TRIENAL 2024, the second edition of El Museo del Barrio's nationwide survey focusing on contemporary Latinx artists and accompanying catalogue. In total, the NEA will award 1,135 Grants for Arts Projects awards totaling more than $37 million as part of its second round of fiscal year 2024 grants. Stay tuned for more updates on #ElMuseodelBarrio and the upcoming LA TRIENAL 2024!
