Great read from Edunomics Lab at Georgetown University on the future of purchasing and how federal funding spurred vendor growth as school spending surged. With the pending expiration of #ESSER schools will need to reset the pace of spending and with staffing costs a significant slice of the budget, hiring may tighten and correlate to tighter vendor spending. This past week we had the opportunity to participate and develop next steps and recommendations regarding #operationalexcellence in #k12schools particularly with School Trusts in the UK. Excellent focus in this initiative to improve customer experience, improve efficiency and address critical needs in the education sector including the recruitment of experienced staff, resource planning and deployment, and future focused planning to address strategic needs in public education. The initiative parallels work by #schoolleadership to address the knowledge loss with employee turnover and workforce staffing challenges, #lean process improvement, and long-term strategic planning.
