��� Since 2023, DT Global's Katalis Program has been working to connect #Indonesian premium #chocolate producers with the #Australian market. The work began with Jakarta-based #chocolatier Pipiltin Cocoa and has expanded to include a wide array of leading businesses in the industry. 🛬 Recently Katalis supported a group of Indonesian premium chocolatiers and cocoa producers to conduct a market visit in Australia. The trip coincided with #WorldChocolateDay on 7 July and #austchocfest24, an Australian-based #chocolate #festival by Bean-to-Bar Makers celebrating #cacao growers and chocolate makers. 🌱 The event held in Melbourne's Abbotsford Covent showcased more than 30 cacao growers and premium chocolate makers, including Indonesian exhibitors - Yayasan Kalimajari, Yayasan Titian, Jika Chocolat, Onuka Chocolate, L'ile Chocolate, Chocolate Monggo, and PT. #SouthSudan accounts for the second highest prevalence of #GenderBasedViolence (GBV) in East Africa; this was revealed during a validation workshop held last year and based on the findings of a nationwide GBV survey. With the support of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the study showed that 41 percent of women aged 15-49 suffer Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and a large proportion of women suffer physical (34%) and sexual (13.5%) violence in their lifetime. Additionally, with many of the displaced being women and children, these vulnerable groups are the most prone to sexual violence stemming from conflict. Our USAID Shejeh Salam (“promoting peace”) project, stood this year with its local partners and citizenry to raise awareness throughout rural South Sudan counties and pledged to say NO to this form of crime. The project supported its local partners to stage large scale colorful rallies featuring song, dance, poetry, and dramas that negate sexual violence and instead support women, peace, reconciliation, and social cohesion. These events drew together thousands of traditional leaders, chiefs, youth, men and women, and local civil society organizations who wholeheartedly stood by this pledge and committed to continue raising awareness about this sensitive topic. #ShejehSalam #PromotingPeace #sayNO #WeAreDTGlobal

We're thrilled to announce that DT Global, in partnership with IOD PARC, has been awarded the Evaluation of the UNICEF Global WASH Strategy by the UNICEF Headquarters Evaluation Office. This comprehensive evaluation presents an opportunity to thoroughly review the strategy's implementation since 2016, with a focus on achieving safe and sustainable drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene services for all by 2030 – in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will assess the quality of the UNICEF WASH strategy, the outcomes that have been achieved, and the mechanisms behind those outcomes. It will be necessary to understand why progress has been achieved in some areas and the reasons why the expected progress has not been achieved in others. We will also derive good practices and learning and will inform UNICEF's strategies and policy approaches related to the delivery of humanitarian and development WASH services.
